FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DEATHSMILES LOLITASTIC FIRST RUN LIMITED EDITION!

Deathsmiles, the bullet-hell smash hit, comes to the U.S on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Torrance, CA (April 1, 2010) – Aksys Games, a publisher of interactive entertainment products, announces Japan’s gothic-lolita shmup hit, Deathsmiles Limited Edition, for  the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Get your shmup on with these amazing inbox special items for just $49.99!

Deathsmiles LE

  • Deathsmiles Faceplate featuring four cute angels trapped in a creepy gothic cage! This faceplate was never released in Japan, go us!
  • Deathsmiles Premium Arrange Album! 15 spooky high energy tracks selected by Manabu Namiki, Director of Deathsmiles!
  • Deathsmiles horizontal artbox and game to compliment the shmup orientation!

Enter the world of Gilverado, a kingdom plagued by hideous monsters and tortured souls. Choose from four angels with unique demonic familiars and battle against a storm of enemies pouring out of Hell’s gates!  Fight your way out of tight spots as you are surrounded by enemy units and bullets from both sides of the screen. The unique left/right shooting mechanic of Deathsmiles will keep you on your toes as you dodge and weave through complex enemy fire, beautifully crafted by the modern masters of shmups, CAVE.

Triggering “Power-up mode” will unleash great streams of golden crowns, white tiaras, and grey skulls as you cut through enemies with your little Angel’s mighty magic shot.   Try not to get distracted by the bling as you collect these gorgeous trinkets en masse and pump your high score to the limit!

“Most shooters feature space ships heroically charging through bullet showers to kill some alien nuisance,” says Cherie Baker, PR Specialist. “With Deathsmiles, you’ve got little girls flying through a gothic otherworld to destroy the horrific, necrotic Imperator Tyrannosatan. Really what could top that!?”

Deathsmiles Key Features:

  • Five Characters to Explore Gilverado

Choose Windia, the foppish English girl; Casper, the sassy German; Follett, the cautious French girl; or Rosa, the California valley girl or Sakura the faithful witch of the swamp wastes.” Travel down the roads of Gilverado and discover hidden conversations between the angels.

  • Mega Black Label

Test your supernatural powers against the onslaught of the Ice Palace and its forgotten protector!   Put your skills to the test with a new scoring system that demands more, but pumps out even more explosions of shiny tokens!

  • Choose Your Path and Difficulty

You can choose your own route through the game’s stages and set the difficulty for each, from a level of 1 to 3. These difficulty levels allow you to customize the bullet count and boss toughness. Watch out if you choose level 3 five times, though….

  • Save and Play Back Replays

Save replays of your own games to watch later for your own enjoyment.

Players can also download the top 20 scoring runs on the leaderboards.

  • Online Rankings & Online Co-op
  • Check out your score on the online leaderboard, with rankings for each character and game mode. Two-player cooperative play is also available via: Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network!

I don’t have an Xbox 360, but I want this game so bad. I might get this later but I guess that I’m going to save my money for the BlazBlue: Continuum Shift L.E.

But if I have the opportunity to get this pack, I’ll buy for sure! :)

I know it’s not your fault that CAVE are jerks and only made this for Eck$bawk$ and not PS3, but right now, Aksys, I am so jealous I could slap you.

    …Or go run away crying.

WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! THEY CALLED IT “LOLITASTIC”!!! I WAAAAANNNNT IIIIIITTTTTT!!!

Now tomorrow I have to make an incredibly fruitless effort to make one of my friends buy this and give me the bonus stuff…

I kid you not. I will be preordering 3 copies (2 from Gamestop and 1 from Amazon) as soon as preorders open up. Ever since Aksys Games announced they were bringing over Deathsmiles, I have been buying every game of theirs I can get my hands on. I now own all of their Xbox 360 offerings and have Record of Agarest War LE on preorder as well. This kind of coolness on their part demands that level of loyalty. So I thank them with these words and, more importantly, my dollars.
Btw, that faceplate and premium arrange album are exactly what I wished the LE would consist of. I really am blown away.

i hope they will KEEP THE ORIGINAL JAPANESE VOICES, because really…i had really bad experiences with silly english voiceovers with Castle Shikigami 2 and 3…face it, most of the english voices sucks in games like this.
Aksys, PLEASE keep the Japanese voices, or at least give us the choice of Japanese or english voices!

i really hope some online stores will be able to accept Canadian pre-orders, as Juken said, Amazon.com is USA only for videogames!!!

Walking to Gamestop to preorder now! You should hold a contest like Sandbox Strat. did with the Renegade Kid’s Dementium II pre-orders: customers who pre-ordered the game, scanned in their receipt and emailed it, received a signed developer signed poster. Can’t wait to play an NTSC version of DS!

  33.  KidKobun

heh stupid Amazon.ca’s pre-order price here is 64.99$, what a rip-off…but if i want it, i’m kinda forced to buy it here since EBGames’ price is 69.99$CAN (+taxes…yes we have 2 taxes here and both of them together adds about 15% to the final price…)

at least Amazon.ca gives fast, free shipping for orders over 39$…
