Video Game Creators Daisuke Ishiwatari and Toshimichi Mori Will Attend FanimeCon 2010 as Guests of Honor
San Jose, CA, USA / Yokohama, Japan (April 9, 2010) — FanimeCon, Aksys Games, and Arc System Works are proud to announce video game creators Daisuke Ishiwatari and Toshimichi Mori as Guests of Honor at FanimeCon 2010, which is being held over Memorial Day weekend, May 28th to May 31st, at the San Jose Convention Center.
Mr. Daisuke Ishiwatari is famous for creating the Guilty Gear video game series. While he denies having created the game single-handedly, his extensive work on the series includes an eclectic assortment of talents: “I was entertained by the idea that I could create a game, and got my toes wet in areas like concept, planning, direction, design, music, writing, and voice acting.” He also composed the soundtrack for the BlazBlue series of video games.
Mr. Toshimichi Mori has many talents as well. He not only directed and produced the BlazBlue video game series but also designed the characters and wrote the scenarios. Mr. Mori played many video games growing up, and he decided to create them when an amazing RPG made him realize, “I want to make a game like THIS!”
BlazBlue is the latest anime-style fighting game series from Arc System Works. Aksys Games will be showing a preview of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the second installment, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, at FanimeCon 2010.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!!
Aksys Games will host a Q&A panel with the famous duo! So remember to bring all your questions and shikishi for the signing at the end! Don’t forget to stop by our booth and show us some love and buy stuff and maybe get some free swag.

For a small con, Fanime is lucky to meet Mori and Ishiwatari. Now how about bringing Katou to AX?

Actually, Fanime isn’t that small (it’s very decently sized). :P Still, that’s cool that they’re going to be there! I’ll have to keep an eye out for that Q&A panel!

OMG i must attend, i really wanted to meet both of them last year at Anime Expo but i missed the event. Both of them are character designers and they both inspired me to become one myself.

It is really awesome of them to keep coming over here. It shows that Mr. Ishiwatari and Mr. Mori care about the international fans. If I had a way to get out there I would totally do it…a day before my birthday too… On a less depressing note, set up a kissing booth. I promise you will make millions!

I love these guys. But I’m too much of a closet anime guy, I’ve never been to a anime convention. Hopefully a new Guilty Gear is in the works, I never got into that series, and I’d like the chance now.

I hate the fact that I live on the East Coast at times. Oh well, looks a ROAD TRIP is in order!

I feel honored, and humbled, to know that Daisuke and Toshimichi are coming to my local hometown. My first thoughts are, “Can I MM Daisuke and Toshi to a BB/GG match?”
