I assume you guys are holding back on posting the Gamespot Game of the Year nomination because you still have an (admittedly small) chance of winning the award itself?
One way or another, congratulations, and I hope that you can follow up on all this oozing praise with a sequel that meets and exceeds the precedent set by VLR.

Nominations: PlayStation Blog PS Vita Game of the Year (PSN Only)? Since Zero Escape was also released at retail, you confused Escape Plan’s nomination for Zero Escape.

VLR progresses quite well from 999. Puzzles & story are fresh and addictive. It would have been nice not to have that save bug on the 3DS version, but as long as you don’t save during an escape scene u shouldn’t have problems. The Vita’s graphics look more crisp, but u lose the advantage of the 2nd screen the 3DS is able to display. Hopefully, Aksys will at some point offer more bracelets in their store for those of us who missed out on the preorder bonus.

So glad to see this game getting such accolades! They are definitely well-deserved and it’s great that mainstream sites such as these are praising such a “niche” title.

@Mister: Unless they changed it later, it was definitely in the list of nominees for that category. No one could make sense of it, but it was definitely there.

I’m glad to see VLR getting such strong reviews. The beauty of the English version is in its localization. Aksys really hit it out of the park with the voice acting. I swear that rabbit/Zero Jr. deserves his own talking plushy doll. His tactful use of puns and sordid humor ranks up there with The Joker yet brings him into his own. How’d you like to press a button and hear a doll say “Have a nice trauma!”? Hopefully, all of the great reviews will get us another sequel.
