So, is this going to be a retail/physical release, or just an digital/eShop one? Regardless, I think it’s pretty cool that you’re bringing it out in North America. Great job :)

I have a question; I already bought Demon of the Fleeting Blossom for PSP, so how much will I get out of those six new stories? Are they long or short? And must I play through the main story to get to them? Thanks :))

I think I’m glad ended up not going to a convention this summer, I feel my wallet getting lighter as we speak. I hope to see more otome titles in the future :3

YAY a new visual novel! Just wondering, is this release only for North America, or do you intend to release it in other countries, since my 3DS cannot play games from America?

I’ve been on the fence about getting a 3DS later this year when the purple XL screen comes out (Aug I think?). Now it’s a certainty, even if I already have everything in the original game I’ll get this one just for the extra side stories. I’m sort of hoping they’re the extra stories from one of the many fan disks. Can you give any more details on that? (I plan to get it regardless but I’m curious) I hope you guys keep deciding to bring out more otome games. I’ll support any that are released.

This is the best news ever.
Yes, the new content sounds like the side stories from the fandisk/Zuisouroku. In Japan they did combine the two games, (Fleeting Blossom and the side stories) and released it on PS3. So happy Aksys chose a handheld.
It’s good they are releasing the combined game, it’ll attract new players to the series since they can still “start at the beginning” of the story.

I would be happy, if this was for the PSP and not for the 3DS. I’m from Germany and I have only an European 3DS. Or is this title not regionlocked like other games for the 3DS?

I’m super excited for this news! Thank you so much for showing the female gamers some love. I know I’ll be pre-ordering this as soon as you announce a date.
    Please keep these games coming!

Perhaps, are these side stories the same ones that were originally included with the PSP port of Hakuouki in Japan? They weren’t in the English PSP release.

Why 3DS… Oh my god… I don’t have one and even if I did, I live in Europe – unless you’re also planning to release this for Europe as well then I’m fine. (But right now my problem is not having a 3DS…)

Newty is right, the forum moderator said the 3ds game will have the content of the Japanese PSP game, plus the 3D features. (my suggestion it might be stories from Zuisouroku was way off base, lol)

You know, usually, I’m psyched about the news of otome games, but this? I’m half and half, because it’s on a region locked console. So I’m hoping Rising Star picks it up too.

Also, it seems mildly cruel you announce this, but nothing about Fate/Extra CCC. :<

Well. I’m up for this. :D My 3DS needs otome games and Harvest Moon isn’t enough. XD And now give us Fate/Extra CCC ^.^ Hehe.

    That’s awesome!!
I hope, you guys, will bring this game somehow to Europe! I start to hate the region lock of Nintendo! :/

Maybe it’s possible to bring a psp version of this game, if Europa release is impossible…it would be really sad, when gamers in Europe can’t enjoy this game…

    I still want to buy this game so bad ;_;

I also would love to see this coming to Europe. Though I do have the Demon of the fleeting blossom for my PSP, would just love to get this for the extra stories and the photo shoot sounds so fun :) If anyhow possible please bring to Europe, even if just as downloadable version in the store :)

I’ve wanted to play this for a while! I never had a PSP or a Vita so I thought I would never be able to play it. I got a 3DS last year to play VLR, but have rediscovered the joys of playing video games ever since. This would definitely be a Day 1 pre-order for me :D, thanks Aksys!

Man, I really hope there’s going to be a release for Europe as well?!
I bought both PSP games and I would love to play Hakuoki games on the 3DS but since I live in Germany the region lock will make it impossible to play the game.
Even though I like to own the game instead of downloading it, I would be more than happy if there was a download for Europe.
Please, give us some your mother is a classy lady 3D guys from Hakuoki too. :)
