@Chibiez: Uuh, it’s first release was for the PSP around 1 or 2 years ago. It won’t have the little bit of extra content that this one has, but that content was never released for the PSP (as far as I know).

As for the game itself, I am super excited! I can’t wait to play this on my PS3 with some extra content. Be amazed Aksys, you will have officially gotten someone as money stingy as myself to buy essentially the same game 3 times. I don’t even have a 3DS! But I love Hakuoki (and otome games), I hope that if this gets a limited edition, you guys put in some really different stuff as compared to what the other two got :>

The exciting thing about this release is that it contains Zuisouroku! Huzzah! I’ve been waiting either for the PSP version or this PS3 release, and since this release is the better version, no complaints here! <3 Now if they decide to release the prequel, Hakuouki: Reimeiroku all will be well in my Hakuouki world. Thank you Aksys Games for answering the cries and pleas of the loyal fans of this series! ^_^ I plan on pre-ordering as well as soon as it becomes available! Thank you!

I’m looking forward to the limited edition! I have some few suggestions for the extras:
> Zuisouroku CG artbook! Like what was included in Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
> Drama CD! <3 You can include the translations in the artbook :3
Looking forward to seeing a translated Reimeiroku too ^_^

When the international trading model changes into small business sale, wholesale corsets are very popular and easy no matter on Europe or America. And most ladies like to match the fashion corset with wholesale stockings to build up slender shape.

I am wondering… What are the differences between the Hakuouki games? I know that from “Demon of the Fleeting Blossom” to “Memories of the Shinsengumi” some new events and side stories were added, but what is new in “Stories of Shinsengumi”? :)

I’m a bit disappointed that this is going to be the /fourth/ Hakuoki game localised. I’ve quite happily purchased the original ‘fleeting blossom’ edition as well as Sweet*Fuse, but not the latest two (soon to be three) Hakuoki games because I’m just not interested in throwing my money at a story I already know and have experienced. However, if you were to go ahead and translate the up-and-coming Hakuoki: Sweet School Life I would definitely purchase it /because/ it’s a different story.

I understand the move to localise the 3DS edition because there surely was/is a market there. I’m simply upset that we’ve missed out on at least two opportunities now for new, completely different otomes making it to the Western market. This may be because of a bunch of reasons – the rights to localise a game one of them – but the notion still stands.

I supposed when it comes down to it, I’m just happy that Aksys is translating otome games in the first place.

Yeah, I agree with LyhChan… would be good, specify the content of Stories of Shinsengumi.
But still, I’ll buy my copy for April 2014
And please Aksys Games translate another Hakuouki game as SSL

I agree with LyhChan in that Aksys Games should do other Hakuoki games like Reimeiroku or SSL. I am still happy that you added another story to the original one.

So specify for everyone, “Stories of Shinsengumi”, from my research in reading from different Otome Gaming blogs, includes the original story AND the fandisc: Hakuouki: Zuisouroku. Zuisouroku includes side stories–no, not the same as “Memories of Shinsengumi”, but as in: it elaborates on all of the routes and I believe Sannan, Shinpachi and Yamazaki have friendship routes. I’m SUPER excited for this game to be released because the fandisc elaborates more on Okita and Kazama’s routes! (And all the other guys as well!)

why is this on the ps3 instead of the 3ds, like memories? i’m glad we’re getting it at all, and i might actually get a ps3 with it, but i’m disappointed that it’s not for the 3ds. the market for otome games over here is already fairly small, but i think that the smartest idea would be to localize the games on handhelds, because those are the most popular systems for girls. maybe i’m wrong, but the ps3 seems silly to me.

I take offense to that… I spend far more time on my ps2 and ps3 than I do on my handhelds. I do not like the degrading of female gamers, we are as diverse as the male ones.
Besides, the main game is still the same game that’s on the psp and 3ds. It’s just the extras that are different.
I on the other hand wouldn’t mind the release of some of the other side games, like the chibi ones or SSL, but I’m quite happy with getting this one for it’s extra content.

where the audience is is where the audience is, i’m not trying to degrade us, i’m just saying that mobile platforms have a much larger female audience than home platforms.. there’s nothing wrong with it, you don’t need to be offended.
if it’s just extras, why isn’t it being released as dlc for the 3ds? it seems to me like that would be trivial.
i do hope SSL gets localized, because it’s definitely something i would get a vita for.
