Banshee’s Last Cry Now Available at the App Store

Aksys Games announces today that Banshee’s Last Cry (Kamaitachi no Yoru in Japan), a thrilling visual novel from the makers of the Zero Escape series, Spike Chunsoft, is now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch!

Download the Banshee’s Last Cry App here!

Banshee’s Last Cry is a suspenseful visual novel that takes readers on a deadly ride of murder and deception. While staying at a hotel around a ski resort, vacationers find themselves caught up in a murderous “whodunit” game when a guest winds up dead. With the lodge completely snowed in and no escape, they will have to use all their cunning to solve this mystery and protect themselves from being the next victim! Local legend tells of a banshee whose screams can rip through flesh, but, is the killer really a deadly monster or the work of a madman?

  • Banshee’s Last Cry features a “choose-your-own-adventure” style reading meaning that the choices readers make ultimately affects the story.
  • Each path readers take will take them into a unique story with over 30 endings – some serious and some, even a little silly!
  • With visuals that bring the scenes to life and music to add foreboding to every decision, Banshee’s Last Cry is more than just a book, it’s a thrill ride!

The Banshee’s Last Cry App is available for $3.99 from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com.

I’ve been waiting for this since it was announced. By a different company, who, going by their outdated website, seemed to be practically defunct even prior to the announcement.

So I don’t know how this ended up with you guys, but I’m thankful.

Great! …except I don’t have any iProducts. Still you had me at “Zero Escape” and “choose-your-own-adventure”… I’m hoping this comes to Android soon~

The website for Banshee’s Last Cry has buttons for Google Play and the Amazon App Store. Is this a mistake, or is an Android version coming soon? If so, when can we expect it? Like Lehst above, I don’t own any iProducts.

I’ve also heard the distinctive silhouettes of the original Kamaitachi no Yoru are not present in this version. Is this true? I’d love to have an experience as close to the original as possible, though I’m pretty much willing to accept any version since it’s a miracle we’re getting this old game at all.

As soon as this is on Android, you’ve got my $4. I normally wait for sales, but any visual novel you guys translate gets an instant buy from me.

This games is a big surprise to me. I never heard about it, but since I love murder themed visual novels, and the Zero Escape series is a favourite, I’ve bought it instantly.

I’m enjoying the game a lot, I’m replaying it for the different outcomes.

It could be awesome if the game had an “ending collection” option, where we can see that how many endings have we found.

Thank you so much for adapting and releasing this!
And for putting it on the French app store so I could get it!

I have already reached a dozen endings including a couple of “Finis”, it’s really addictive!

The only thing I wish is that you had gone with the “Shin” Kamaitachi no Yoru version (PS3+Vita) instead of the somewhat inferior iOS version. Especially due to the lack of ending list and flowchart.

But really, being offered any version of that game in English is already some sort of miracle. It’s also a small miracle that I heard about this at all (your release of an English adaptation was casually mentioned in half a sentence by the Japanese game reviewer at Gamekult, a “serious gamer” oriented gaming site in France). I hope that word of mouth helps this a bit!

Thanks to Aksys Games, I also enjoyed 999 and Virtue’s Last Reward, and I do hope that you go on picking up other visual novels again. 428 would be fantastic (the iOS version is perfect this time around I heard). And it would be just fine to keep the Shibuya setting here (it worked well The World Ends with You, or Devil Survivor).
Machi would be, well, a miracle.
