Localization Specialist

Aksys Games is looking for a full time Localization Specialist to join our team. The Localization Specialist would assist the Production team in managing external development teams and would require translation in a timely manner. The position will communicate with development teams and publishers for various platforms for release primarily in the USA. This role would be involved in multiple projects at once so an ability to multi-task and prioritize projects is preferred
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Translation of video game text from Japanese to English
  • Translation of other text (documents, emails) as needed within deadlines
  • Communication with various developers/licensors
  • Daily communication with major publishers (Sony, Nintendo, etc.)
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to evaluate project schedules and timelines
  • Direct support to external development teams and internal production team
  • Coordinate with retailers/distributors all product set-up and launch information

 
Requirements

  • Must be bi-lingual in English/Japanese
  • Computer skills and proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work legally in the USA
  • Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills in Japanese
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and project management abilities
  • Eagerness to grow with the company and the video game industry

Sales Administrator

Aksys Games is looking for a full time Sales Administrator to join our team. The Sales Administrator would assist the Sales team in gathering order information and building relationships with retailers to sell games in the retail channel whether online or brick & mortar for physical and digital products. The position will communicate with retail accounts, sales and marketing teams. Must be extremely organized. Sales and video game industry experience is preferred, but not required.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Communication with retailers to forecast sales for upcoming titles
  • Tracking for pre-orders on a weekly basis and providing information to all teams
  • Creation and distribution of pricing and information to retailers and distributors
  • Tracking of all shipments to retailers/distributors and ensure timely receipt for titles
  • Gathering information and compiling weekly sales reports for management
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to ascertain objectives for each title
  • Inventory management and tracking
  • Creating price sheets for retailers and distributors
  • Coordinate with retailers/distributors all product set-up and launch information

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience in Marketing, Sales and/or Business
  • Computer skills and proficient in Excel
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and project management abilities
  • Eagerness to grow with the company and the video game industry
  • Interest in video game industry and video games
