Gosh I sure hope this release brings a new crowd (3ds owners) into the otome scene. If there's more support for the series we might see future releases. It's cool Aksys brings over such interesting and niche games. Here's hoping for more news~!

@SyberiaWinx I'm sorry didn't mean to give false hope XP just when it mentioned a new Hakuouki with six side stories, Zuisouroku came right into mind :( so sad I do hope it comes soon. I'm still looking forward to the Hakuouki Memories of the Shinsengumi, the picture/battle scrolls intrigue me.

I am truly appreciative of your great effort for the localization of Hakuoki . I have bought two PSP titles namely "Demons of the Fleeting Blossom" and "Warriors of Shinsengumi" and I can't wait to buy "Memories of the Shinsengumi" for the 3DS. Thank you so much for answering the requests of the fans! I had previously emailed a request about Hakuouki and I was so excited & happy when Aksys Games affirmed the localization of this game with a surprise announcement back in Year 2011.

I sincerely hope that Aksys Games would continue to work closely with IdeaFactory to localize more & more fantastic otome games, especially the visual novels. I believe that the otome gaming market in the North America may be small, but the possibilities can be endless and positive if the otome gaming library continues to expand consistently with titles which fans look very favorably upon. Infact, our voices are your good references! I'm really glad to see that the otome blogs & forums are becoming more and more active & engaging. The otome topics in Aksys forum are also very happening too. In view that the PSP is an aging console, I think there is potential for otome gaming to thrive & expand on other handhelds - the Nintendo 3DS & mobile smart phones (i.e iOS & Android).

Below are some of the popular titles which I hope that Aksys would kindly consider to translate & localise:
1) Amnesia
2) Wand of Fortune
3) Clock Zero
4) Norn9

Amnesia is very highly raved by the bloggers and gamers on the Internet. This visual novel has an intriguing storyline & the character art is visually stunning & beautiful. Also to the delight of several fans, the anime version of the game was broadcasted in Japan early this year.

Thanks again for your time in reading this lengthy request. I am a Singaporean and I am sure that there are many female gamers like myself, regardless of nationality, hoping to see more otome games being translated to English language. In my opinion, it is perfectly fine that the audio dialogues remain in Japanese language because the Japanese voice acting is top-notch. The two PSP titles of Hakuoki are great examples.

I look forward with excitement that there would be more good news for the otome fans in the near future. You have my strong support, spiritually and financially.

Which is nothing more than a nice opportunity to 3DS owners to taste an otome game, with a game that is known to be a very nice otome. The additions aren't meant to be vital, just so that it can't be called a straight port with nothing added. I have the LE for the PSP game, but I'm getting Hakuoki 3DS, because I love it that much.

Ahh, thank you for the clarification. Well it will be interesting to see if that is indeed the case. Either way it's still up in the air. The question is: where do these stories come from? Sounds like it could be the: Picture Scroll of Comrades from the PS2 port. *curious*

Memories is a decent supplement for such a word.

My information share is based on deduction of the information I have accrued from that website I shared and others I looked up. I will say however that it would make sense that their claim of adding "six new stories" in Aksys' news release: Everlasting Memories Await You With the Men of Hakuouki aren't coming out of thin air.

Since Zuisouroku is the side stories release it would follow that they are pulling the additional stories from there versus re-inventing the wheel and trying to go through all the trouble that would otherwise involve. They're a company that ports systems, not one that creates them from scratch. It is however possible that the six additional stories were included in the 3DS version that was released in Japan. It's something to look into.

It is still obviously unclear what will be in Memories specifically beyond what they've mentioned, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to believe that Memories will at least contain the storyline portion of Zuisouroku (unless they were from the JPN 3DS release) since they have to pull the additional stories from somewhere.

Jaskra, there was no need to be like that towards them.D : Anyway, it's already been established that that site is not completely accurate. We are NOT getting Zuisouroku. I don't know where you heard that. Do you have a source? Pretty sure Aksys has already said we're not. The fan disc is the game people actually want, thus a lot of the outrage.

Wow, you might actually *read* what people write before you post. I don't want a DS, hence why I traded in my Lite for the PSP? My post was about them porting the series to another system, not pouting that I'd traded in my DS prior.

Technically Aksys is re-releasing Hakuouki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossoms on a the 3DS, but the Nintendo owners get the bigger cookie, the FULL story. The PSP port doesn't have Hakuouki Zuisouroku attached it the way Memories will.

They are effectively combining the Hakuouki 3D and Hakuoki: Zuisouroku DS japanese releases together into one for the North American release. Basically they're making a 3DS version of Hakuoki: Junsouroku (PS3 JPN Release that combined both games). It will be interesting to see if they add the additional features from Hakuoki: Zuisouroku DS though. They've already stated they were going to add the bonus features from Hakouki 3D.

A LOT of people were unhappy that Warriors got released, because they knew it was terrible. And we've got every reason to be upset now. Finally they announce another game, but it's just a port. It's like they're just taking advantage of us.
