Nope, sorry. Q2 is around April to June and we're in the middle of May. Also, pretty sure Aksys doesn't publish games in Japan.

Word is the region code off the disc is: 0x0000FDFF
This means the game is region locked to:
NTSC/J (Excluding China, not Japan as previously suggested)
NTSC/U
This means PAL players are out of luck.

Hmm, are you guys testing with HDMI cables or compnent? Because that might affect things. US and Japan use the same video standard, but Europe uses a different one, and HDMI works with both (this is basically an explanation for dummies).

Thanks for checking it out. I was just about to get the PS3 version, but then I remembered about this thread at the last minute. I'm glad that someone else was willing to try it despite the fact that it was "confirmed" to not work on NTSC consoles...

I also own a Japanese 360 and I can confirm too this works fine. I was worry about first if the game didn't work and if it didn't I would of end up buying it for the PS3. Of course I would of kept the 360 version still.

Thank you Aksys for making the game compatible with with us few owners of JP 360. I hope US DeathSmiles will be able to played on the JP 360 also.

I can confirm it works on Japanese X360s. I have no idea why Aksys didn't seem able to confirm this simple fact beforehand, and indeed a staff member stated the opposite in this thread! You would think that since they localized and published the game they'd know something as simple as this. Pretty bizarre.

Try what? Unless you have an NTSC Xbox, you're not going to be able to get the game to work.

If it works on "asian 360s" (which are NTSC-J, the same as Japanese 360s), then it will work on Japanese 360s.

Please just test and find out.

It is my understanding is that our Agarest release will not play on Japanese 360s.

Sucks how it's not gonna be region free.It seems the Pal region gets screwed again.In this day and age it's completely pointless to region lock any game.Sony have the right idea.

Where are they located? I live in NZ, and Play-Asia's stuff has generally taken 5 working days up until around late last year, where a couple of items I purchased had some issues. I've been avoiding them ever since, but there's not exactly a huge array of sites that ship US goods internationally.
