Wow, necrobump much?

For what it's worth, I've undergone a huge heel face turn in regards to PC gaming over the past few months. I feel like a complete imbecile for buying the consoles when I have a perfectly good PC.

So, a proper PC version of BlazBlue, released without that GFWL -your mother is a classy lady-, hopefully integrated with Steam, and if not, at least sold on Steam, would make my day.

I'd like to pledge that if a version of Continuum Shift is released for the PC in the future, I'd buy it. I've already waited this long for Calamity Trigger to come to the PC and snapped that up when I first learned about it. I'd feel very much at ease if there was any plan indicating that Aksys hasn't given up on PC digital distribution for imported titles.

The 720p graphics and Daisuke Ishiwatari soundtrack are most pleasing to me on a close up monitor with headphones. Digital game service providers like Steam have pampered me with the convenience of social networking to find and play regularly with friends. I also don't like disc drive sounds getting in the way the music; this was a major problem with my Xbox 360. I also very much like not taking up a television and home theater system just to play a game online and deprive the rest of the household of the other uses for the TV.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't pirate whatever version of the game is circulating around. My service provider's network policy prevents peer to peer connections, and unfortunately the same restrictions also prevent online connections from consoles - advanced game networking from my PC still runs fine, which is another reason why I would very much like a PC version. That and the fact that some of my favorite musical pieces and characters are in Continuum Shift only makes me really wish there were plans to port it eventually.

I'm accustomed to waiting a long time for these things (been waiting for a sequel to the Longest Journey series for five years now), but I have also seen franchises I devoutly followed for years dissipate because they passed out of collective memory. What I'm most concerned about is that Aksys has given up development for the PC, which is why I hope I'm putting a small blip on their marketing data.

point is moot anyway now that we see what cave did with DSIIX. keeping it unchanged from the jp version

and I don't see why CAVE wouldn't want to make PAL DFK region-free now that we know that Aksys has no interest. they'd probably make more on import sales than if they made a GoD version (which probably wouldn't be localized or come with the DLC). we NA fans should definitely hit up Asada by email

and keep emailing 5pb, needs to happen!

A visual novel would take serious effort to translate into English and 5pb would probably have to hire people to do it

But anyone can translate a shmup like Ketsui or DOJ - it's mostly just menus

Not that I don't think visual novel fans shouldn't give it a shot, just think it might be asking too much. Either way, we should still bombard their inbox and let them know that they have fans that want these games and let them know that the opportunity is now available

actually, the menus of both games are already in english.

Agreed, I like Dondonpachi but I'd much prefer Chaos; Head Noah to be brought over even more, besides, the CEO of 5pb said that he's trying to captivate the west with visual novels and I say start why not start with Chaos; Head? Of course the Ever17 remake would be just as awsome and maybe Dunamis.

I have to be honest, even though DOJ is one of my favorite games I much rather see them localize Chaos Head Noah or Phantom Breaker.

This is partially because I already own DOJ.

However after those titles, it would be cool to see DOJ & Ketsui come to our shores.

Line 2: Email
Line 3: Confirm Email
Line 4: Subject

Example of what to fill in...

Subject: Please publish Ketsui and Dodonpachi in the west

Hello from the USA

Just pointing out that it's now known that if you publish a game in one region as a disk release you can publish the same game in every other region as a Xbox Live Games on Demand release.

If you look at Capcom, they are publishing RE4/RE:CVX on a disk in Japan but are bringing it over digitally to Games on Demand for every other region.

CAVE are now suspected of doing the same. They published DSIIX on a disk in Japan and are now publishing it themselves in the west, likely using Games on Demand.

You guys at 5pb published Ketsui and Dodonpachi DOJ on disks in Japan so you should be able to do the same, right? Please support Games on Demand. Please allow the western world to experience these wonderful games.

Thank you

Hit the first button (the one on the left) to send the email. On the next screen hit the first button again (this time on the top) to confirm.

If someone can translate this to Japanese or post their own inquiry in Japanese then that would probably work better but anything is better than nothing. Please send lots of emails because this is likely the only way that we will be able to have Ketsui and Dodonpachi on US-region 360's

The PC Version came with all the DLC content, but no custom color palettes, just the extra colors. Some of which are awesome. Morrigan Litchi and Morrigan Rachel, White Knight Bang, etc.

Of course, I'd love a version of Continuum Shift to buy for the PC. My friends don't want to buy the Digital Only release of Calamity Trigger, because they're all excited about Continuum Shift and would rather have that. It is a sad state of affairs, but hopefully Arc will release CS on PC before whatever next major installment of the game comes out.

Aksys are good people, but they've made it clear that for whatever reason they don't want to do the work for a PC release. I don't fault them, but it does make me a little sad - their work on the game is phenomenal.

Well, with CS2 coming soon you could argue that ASW didn't want to bother with a PC release right away and then have to sort out DLC characters and color packs. Assuming the PC versions of CT came with all DLC content then it's plausible.
I don't think ASW doesn't care about about the PC market, they just want to focus on consoles first since it's where their main funds come from and they are familiar with how to run console add-ons. A PC release would just have all that content stuffed in based on my thoughts...

Look at SF4. That's why there will be no BB on PC.

It looks like alot of people missed this reply... ST4 was THE most pirated game of the year, and the reason where no Super came out for PC. It's pretty much THE biggest fighting game out there, and when the pirating rate is a MUCH high rate to the purchausing one, there is a reason why many companies hesitate for a PC release. Putting out all those resources isn't always worth the risk, sadly.

It's not that I'm not supporting it, but the truth. I love my PSP, and sometimes it's the same issue with bringing games on there too :/ Sometimes.
