I can try to get your problem passed on to Arc, but unfortunately that's the best I can really do. All we do is localize and publish—we don't have any programmers, or knowledge of the code. Arc does actually have an English-language contact e-mail, if you want to try and get a hold of them yourself. It's hello (at) arcsystemworks (dot) com.

That being said, have your friends nearby experienced similar issues?

2.Contacting "Atc" System Works in Japan requires knowledge of the Japanese language which I do not have, and while I could ask a friend of mine who is studying it to write a question for me I do not want to run the risk of coming off as rude as the language tends to be difficult to be spoken properly.

So I firmly believe this is the best place for me to ask my question.

Aksys did not make Blazblue, Arc systems did. Aksys brought over Blazblue for the U.S. just like UK has a localizer. so they don't handle the netcode, thats Atc system works in Japan.

Hello!

I've been playing Blazblue since CT, but there's a very serious problem I seem to have with the netcode (in both versions):

I have no idea why, but when the games were first released I had perfectly fine connections to practically everywhere, but then after installing an official update I get lag so bad I can't play anymore, quite literally.

For example, in BBCS I was able to play against people from Japan with connections graded up to 3, and almost lagless ones against people from the US and Canada. But ever since the Valkenhayn patch was released I get all 0 connections no matter who I'm trying to play with, even people from my city.

The weird thing is that, I only have this problem with BBCS and BBCT! For instance, I can play other fighting games on the PS3 (like SSFIV) with absolutely no problems. I also have no problems using p2p connections to play games over the network.

I also have two separate internet connections, one with 4 mb download, 356 kb upload. And another with 10 mb download and 700 kb upload. I have a NAT type 2 in both of these and the PS3 is set to DMZ mode in both routers, and it is _still_ unplayable for me.

I'm a very serious player when it comes to BBCS and have practiced this game for quite a long time, and it's really frustrating not being able to play against human opponents properly when I'm trying to prepare for a tournament.

I'm from Mexico City, and I depend on the netcode to get matchup experience as there is no local fighting game scene. I hope you guys can help.

I also got my copy the day it was released from the US. I don't know if this makes any difference at all, but I don't think BB has ever been sold here.

to follow up my original post so long ago. Blazblue came out..and it kicked my ass. It was one of the best Fighters i've ever seen. I live close to the east coast of the US, and I have played the Japanese. The lag on those matches ..was sparse. However since I only found JP Nu players..it was hard to tell for sure. I was also here looking to track down how the netcode problem was finally fixed. I keep hearing things about GGPO, Kawaks. If someone in the PC fighting game community helped fix this problem with lag on consoles. I would love to hear any information about that.

Anyways..Thank you Aksys. You are the Working Designs of the new generation.

Alright, so I've actually been getting significant lag in most of my ranked matches. I've been hearing others say that they have no lag or unnoticeable lag. It's not my connection, because other games like HD:Remix and SF4 are not giving me trouble. I've heard that there's an update coming, and that the JP version of the game is already updated. I've also heard that it's Sony's fault because of some maintenance in some regions, but I just want to know if others are having this problem or if it's just me.
