the next thing that gets me, is that you all expect the DLC to be cheaper. i was expecting it to be a little more then 8$. a new skeleton, fighting style, art, voice acting. its something called WORK. and we need to PAY people who do WORK. yes, Blazblue could have been delay for a while, and inevitably jacked the price to 60$ because of the additional content put into it, but they figured, oh we would all be mature about it, buy it at 40 and not whine about stuff that we DONT HAVE TO BUY

and why would you buy the costume pack first. that's like the last thing you get, unless you plan on not buying anything else.

and as for the DLC characters, makoto kicks ass. and i dony expect the other heros to come out until (if their making it) the third game. i DO however expect Jubie to have a story. he's just that important

BLAZBLUE IS A NEW SERIES!!!! OF COURSE IT CAN'T HAVE A BIG ROSTER COMPARED TO A SERIES THAT ALREADY HAD A SET OF ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS! NONE OF THE CHARACTERS IN SSFIV ARE NEW THEY WERE EXISTING. Aside from C. Viper, Juri, Hakan, Seth, El Furte, and Rufus...

So that is six characters that they added? The rest came are from the series already and aren't new. Some came from alpha, etc.

I get that the game is hurting in reviews, but it is a new series and it's not like they had several installments before. Besides you forget how long it took street fighter iv to come out compared to BB:CS.

I think they should have done a lot more though... At first, I saw her as a stupid greedy cash grab, being partly ready to go on the disc, and regardless of how long it takes to make a character, it sucks when any publisher has DLC already in the pipe when the game hits shelves, even if this is regrettably the norm. When a game is planned like this, you buy an incomplete game at retail (but... it IS priced as one at least. SFIV is the same here, but KoF XII? $70! No way - not even for $30...)

Then I played some story mode and went "holy -your mother is a classy lady-... I've never played a fighter with 1/10 this story... Yeah... I'd pay $8 to see Makoto's story. That's what, at least an hour or two of new material, and more background story on the library crew, then I can play her in arcade mode a bunch! Sweet!"

Then I saw that she has no story mode... ok, so I'd pay maybe $2-3 to fool around in arcade... but probably not because I avoid most DLC... Then I saw that she's not even usable in arcade mode, so even if she was included on the disc in the first place for free, I'd never even see her sprite. Utterly useless! At least I'm not grudgingly paying money for her, but it is a big letdown. So she's just for people who live online all the time then... no fun for us scrubs who don't know the game down to the last pixel.

That is completely why there is a localization. So it's all preference. I'm greatful that Aksys brought the game over. I liked GG, but it was too out there when it came to the characters. BB is more mainstream as far as design goes, so that is why I play BB more than GG. It's just the style. I was good at GG, but it just didn't seem like my type of game as it seems way to dark in style.
