In the very last puzzle of the game, by which point I had not saved for an unfortunately extended period of time, I opened the in-game memo pad unintentionally. The touch menu at the bottom of the memo screen is now unresponsive. The Y button can be used to switch between erase and write, and the touch control of the writing field works fine, but it's impossible to switch write methods via the touch screen, use the trash icon, go from page 1 to page 2 (and vice versa) or RETURN to the actual game.

It's been so long since I saved that I've tried desperately to find a way to restore functionality to the bar. Every button has been pressed in desperation; I folded the 3DS closed to make it sleep; I used the home button to exit out, loaded the web browser and then returned to the game; scoured the net to see if anyone had this problem; turned off my wi-fi connection; and disconnected and reconnected the 3DS to it's power adapter - there is no helping it.

I had it freeze on me during my first run through the most notoriously glitchy room and was officially petrified of that room for the entirety of the game, but I was in no way prepared for this. I should have been. I knew that, while there were two commonly severely glitchy rooms, any puzzle could cause problems. Sadly, since I had not even found myself in a puzzle room for such a long time by the time I reached the last room, I genuinely felt like the danger had passed. In the long run I am fortunate, I only lost a few hours of gameplay instead of my entire 39 hours, but this without question made a bad night a whole lot more frustrating.

For the record, I know that these glitches exist in the original Japanese version of the games. For that reason I don't blame Aksys for the problems, the game was developed/released by Chunsoft and for whatever reason was simply never corrected. It should have been, clearly, but I am still not inclined to blame Aksys for being kind enough to localize this game and put the effort they did into capturing the magic of the original; going so far as to include the Japanese voices, which is ultimately what drew me to the game in the first place. I would not have ever played it if English voices were the only option, and it would have been a sad loss on my part, so I am still very happy with Aksys and actually feel a bit sorry for them; I think they are dealing with an awful lot of hostility because of someone else's mistake. In an ideal world they'd obviously have caught the mistake and demanded that it be fixed before it was released here, but I do think the fact that they were not the developer of the game is somewhat unfairly overlooked.

Unfortunately I honestly can not see Aksys ever doing anything about the bugs in the game because, when you get down to it, it's not even their game. If it wasn't fixed in Japan I doubt there is hope that it ever will be here. If a fix comes from anyone, and I'm not holding my breath, I suspect it will be developed by Chunsoft and merely passed along to Aksys rather than being something that Aksys themselves develop.

All I can say is no matter how far you are, NEVER enter a locked room without saving first. No matter how near the end you may be.

I plan on buying one since a few months, but I guess making it available for me to play this soon it'd fasten up a lot ;)

I'm not sure I understand your question... Are you asking if you can play the game on a PS3? If so, the answer's no. The Vita version only works on a Vita, as far as I know.
