Um, it makes it small for you, and you only have to put in the email address you use for this one. It's really not hard. Takes just minute.

Yeah, I think Gravatar does have a lower resolution cap (I think around 80px?) but I figured for our site I'm never going to be showing avatars that large anyway...

I'm sure you've noticed the forums are experiencing some changes. They're looking a little different, and maybe feeling a little strange. Don't worry. It's a perfectly natural, beautiful process that all forums go through sooner or later. We're here to help ease you through it with these tips:

  • Your login name and your posts have been migrated over from the old forums. Unfortunately, your passwords may not work as planned. But don't fret! Just go here and plop in your e-mail address or username, and you'll be sent a band spanking new randomly-generated password post-haste. That user name and password will log you into the main site (allowing you to make comments and a profile on the main site) as well as a the forum. Which brings us to our next point...
  • When you log in to the site (or the forums), ideally you would be logged into both at once. Unfortunately this function is not working as intended at the moment, but we're trying to get it up and running. For now, I recommend you just log into both separately but check the "remember me" box. It'll be almost like it works!
  • If you want an avatar, you'll need to sign up with Gravatar. It's easy and free and it works well with our site (and any other site out there that supports Gravatars). Just make sure you use the same e-mail address you used to sign up here. Also, make sure your Gravatar is rated PG or lower, or it won't show up on our site.

Well, that's about it for now. If you have any more questions or you run into any problems, just post in this topic and we'll do our best to fix things up as quickly as possible.
