I just finished 999 and it was pretty good. Would it be probable to bring over any other visual novels? Maybe something else from Chunsoft. I know the DS Higurashi games would do well.
Could we get any other visual novels from Aksys?

Who knows? If they end up making money on 999, and find another title they think would do as well then my guess is yes. I think part of the difficulty is that VNs still need a good / clever "game" aspect to get positive press attention and draw in people who still arent used to the concept of basically reading a digital comic/choose your own adventure type game.

I would like to see Little Busters translated.

'Maybe something else from Chunsoft' - I have a suggestion, but I'm creating a new topic for this one.

I love seeing more and more VN support. Chunsoft has 428 out in Japan, and I would love to see that one localized myself. Got straight 10s in Famitsu, and since it uses real life scenes, it could be good to push, since...well, Heavy Rain did pretty well, I would think.

I would be very much in support of this and would likely preorder the next one announced. Especially if it's Umineko or 428 (which I actually wouldn't mind being left subbed, due to the live action part of it). It'd be pretty amazing to see either of these games make it over!

I myself said that if 999 did well, which it kind of is, then Aksys should seek out a partnership with Chunsoft, starting with their next project, 428. Also, have the Wii version have the same content as PS3 and PSP versions.
Also, if it is at all possible, uncensored versions of Chaos; Head Noah, Steins; Gate and Robotics; Notes for PC, 360 and PS3. Please, Aksys? Please?

I also would like to see 428. What was added to the PS3 and PSP versions?

I think Heavy Rain had only CG/lifelike cutscenes and it also had Sony advertising it so it was almost inevitable it would do well.

The concept is gaining traction though. Maybe the question will be, will it be the return of the "adventure game" or the onset of the "Novel/Storytelling game"... or perhaps both?
I seriously think that " non-grindy, deep storytelling games for adults" has a big future, though its probably anyone's guess what shape the concept will take when really reaches mainstream popularity.

I'd also like to see 428, at least released on PSN for PS3

I am not as excited about 428 as I could be, just because I watched Canaan (well, a good amount of it) and it has a ton of spoilers.
So, word to people who want to play 428: Dont watch Canaan , unless you dont mind mad spoilers.

It would be cool if Aksys could bring something like Steins;Gate to the western hemisphere, I mean after minor success of 999 it's obvious there's enough audience for this sort of SF/Thriller ADVs over here. And Microsoft seems less strict than Sony, allowing japanese dubs and so on...

I don't care, I'd love to see both of them in NA anyway.

I think there's a demo of Noah on J-XBL. Seemed pretty fanservicy, not all that exciting.

It's only viewed if you click something called a delusional trigger which yeah the main character halucinates a current situtation when allowed, into something considered "fanservice". Other than the that, the story is a pretty gorey thriller with a psychological twists and mind*#$%'s. =P

I'd like to see some VNs too. Like Umineko. Stein's Gate sounds interesting too.

I'd ACTUALLY like to see a PS3 version of the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel. It would probably never happen but hey, one can dream. Also, how much more different were the Lunar Legend Tsukihime to the Anime? I've never actually seen any of the Visual Novels, and despite them being... rather *interesting* in spots, I'd still like to see at least one of them over here. I guess it depends on how GRAPHIC each of them are.

"Ones on consoles never have hentai scenes."
I'm pretty sure that applies only to anyone but Japan.
I think Chaos;Head noah does and Dual Savior Destiny had hentai scenes.Posted 1 year ago #
