As for the talk about whether console games have H-scenes, no. Fanservice, yes, but you will be hard-pressed to find many console VNs that even have nipples.
(Though this doesn't include old systems like the Sega Saturn which had some softcore scenes)
Could we get any other visual novels from Aksys?

No console manufacturer allows hentai on their console. Japan is actually more strict about it than other regions, especially Sony.
FSN is already available on PS2. The PS2 version had the h-scenes altered. No console hentai game exists, and none ever will.

...No console vn has and never will have H-content due to restrictions even if it is in Japan. T.T And no Chaos; Head never had H-scenes not even in the original pc version. It was strictly a 16+ game with psychological, sci-fi, horror, and mystery elements. What you thought you saw as H was just ecchi scenes that rarely happens and has to be unlocked by doing something called a delusional trigger. If you don't, then you're fine, you won't see any sort of content like that. Dual Savior from screens does have H though.

I'm glad that people want to see more visual novels, but because they have such a bad reputation in the US and in Europe I simply don't know if will become a reality or not.
English based companies such as MangaGamer and JAST USA tend to pick up titles that exist only for sexual gratification.
I'm really upset about this as there are VNs out there that deal with something much more important and less offensive than merely having sex with high school girls and nonsense like that.
I really hope that companies like Aksys will manage to show people that visual novels can offer something that other genres can't. Visual novels can tell amazing stories filled with drama, comedy and above all, stories filled with excitement.
I really do hope that Aksys will continue publishing visual novels.Posted 1 year ago # -
I remember a while back when Anime used to be either completely "Childish" or "All pr0n" according to some people. That bridge has been gapped by companies, pushing to make something for the in-between crowd, and eventually, it swept up over here.
The key I believe here is, if it was to happen, the company bringing it over, should Advertise it at anime cons. It is most likely cheaper than going the TV ads way, and plus, you would be right in the center of many people who would probably open up to the genre. Heck, if Aksys did it, I think it would be a great idea for them. They have BlazBlue, 999, Agarest War, Deathsmiles, and other anime-styled games that would fit in there. Heck, there is almost always a video game stand or two at cons. A few posters and perhaps trailers of videos could really do well. Maybe put Blazblue up for play at their booth to keep people there? Really, in the end, if game companies did that with their anime-fanbase focused games, they could probably sell more for less, I personally believe. Chance for everyone to try hands on, ask questions, and see what your company has to offer.

to Yukito: Yeah, I guess they could advertise VNs as part of the whole anime/manga entertainment sector. But I would also like companies to focus on the 'novel' aspect. In Japan, there a plenty of book publishers who handle VNs. Not everyone has played a video games, but most people out there have read a book or two.
Girls and women in general could really be a driving force in this regard. There is a reason why Aksys made those surveys targeting a female market by asking whether or not they would like to play an Otome game (or Maiden game).Posted 1 year ago # -
