Well I did find an older thread asking about porting any MB game onto PS2 for US regions, but now, with Melty Blood Actress Again slated to reach Japanese PS2s in August, I think it would be a great time to think about the possibilities of either bringing that or Melty Blood Act Cadenza stateside, and with what Aksys has done with Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, they could even port it to newer systems, as well, such as the Wii.
How about Melty Blood?

Considering how Act Cadenza is a few versions old, I wouldn't want to see that but definitely Actress Again. (granted the PS2 port is decent. I have to be honest and think that a PS3 port would be more appropriate)
I do agree with one thing though, Melty Blood wouldn't be fitting for the wii at all.

u just love to start with me for no reason dontcha boy, well ur correct they did say that they where typemoon fans but if u listen to the whole podcast which i think this was talked about in podcast ep 4 or 5/5.5 that they wouldn't be doing melty blood because of their projects their doing currently (BB and jake hunter) and they went to say also it not up to them if they would do melty blood or not.

I don't see why folks always hate on the idea of older fighting games getting ported to the Wii. It's true the standard Wii controller makes fighters difficult to play, but the Classic Controller is just as good as a PS2/3 pad for controlling fighters, and leagues better than a standard 360 pad. The only real downside to the Wii is that online play really isn't an option, but in slightly older fighters like MB and GG that don't have built-in online capabilities, it becomes a moot point.

Not only that, but, like every other current gen console, it also has an appropriate arcade stick for such games.
As for a "lack" of fighters, I am a proud owner of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core(will get Plus when it comes out) and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and I plan on getting several more fighters currently available for Wii. Needless to say, I personally think that ignoring a single console on the sole basis that "fighting games don't work on it" despite the fact that they do is just silly.

well thats up to type moon to decide.they did translate a melty blood manga for us.But its not in stores.it's online for sale.pc act cadenza is in english already. But at least I'd like to see actress again on our ps2.I'm tired of waiting a week at playasia.com and then having to use swap magic for a MB.But I also think type moon is moving away from releasing it here because of how low(for a game like that, even if its good or just decent)the fan rate of sales will go.But surely like people did for hudson's bloody roar.if people make a petition for it.it won't go unoticed.

Fate & Tsukihime both did well here and have a cult following. Realistically F/UC would have been the game to release since it has 3D graphics but if MBAA was to come out here it would probably do real well. I'm sure KnK will get a license here and once it does the amount of type-moon fans will probably triple if not more. (KnK is really that good!) It would be perfect timing to drop MBAA.

Yeah Melty Blood (TSUKIHIME) and "Fate" always have a chance if Aksys wants to sponser. The thing is if the creator wants Aksys to publish then he would say it. And the timing right now would have to be right for Aksys.

Hey, if Capcom was able to port Tatsunoko vs Capcom over to the Wii I don't see why Aksys or Atlus can't give Melty Blood the same treatment...that said, I personally would prefer it to be on the PS2.

capcom vs tatsunoko was never a port but an exclusive to the wii system itself meaning it was meant for the wii and nothing else to begin with. melty blood will not be on a wii console because of one the control scheme wouldn't work on there and two its already out on the ps2 (and if where talkin about melty blood actress again thats coming out on the ps2 in the fall). the only port melty blood will get is a pc port and thats pretty much it.

oops, my bad. Forgot the Arcade version was created using similar hardware to the Wii...and by releasing it on the PS2, I meant a US release.

I have yet to understand this logic. Did the Classic Controller and Arcade Stick just vanish into thin air or something?
melty blood on the classic controller? it wouldn't work at all ( come on this anit brawl were talkin about here) for the arcade stick it depends on the kind of stick ur referring to because not all of the sticks would not be able to hadle some of melty blood's control layout

I fail to see how the Wii Classic Controller is in any way inferior to the PS2 pad.
