Anyone know? I'll still buy it regardless but it'd be nice to have English voice overs. Though I heard that there'll be actual animation this time so thats a HUGE improvement already instead of just pictures being there. Can't for it to come out.
Anyone know if Record Of Agarest Zero will have English voice overs?

From the Official Record of Agarest War Zero Q/A Thread:
Q: What language will the audio be in?
A: The game will retain the original Japanese audio. In other words, no English dub.Posted 1 year ago # -
I wish we could maybe get at least subtitles for voices during things like battles.
I think that "living portrait" thing in dialogue is creepy.Posted 1 year ago # -
Lame. I was really hoping for English audio :|

IMO there is something to be said for just getting the basic emotion and feeling across, without fully comprehending how bad the JP voice over may have been.

And I also really doubt that english dubs have improved in the past years. They are not as bad as the german dubs but that doesn't make them good.

Have you seen Summer Wars? Or Baccano? Both of those dubs were excellent. This argument is rather pointless in any case because there is no dub for Agarest Zero anyway. Can I not elicit even a sarcastic quip?Posted 1 year ago # -
Dubs are pretty hit and miss on each game. I hope Agarest 2 has english dubs at least.

I never understand why people want dubs. I would rather have the ORIGINAL audio track and subtitles. I have also gained a hatred of dubs due to the average response of lazy Americans who don't want to read anymore than they have to. Hence remaking/ruining foreign films.

Hence remaking/ruining foreign films. Some people don't watch dubs out of laziness. Sometimes they're exposed to a dub (lthey end up hearing it on TV, for example) and, if they end up liking it, it may end up generating interest in more of the work done by those particular dubbers. Some other people are probably just fickle and want to give a dub a shot. I mean, what's wrong with a little risk with something as this? It could pay off with something they like, or it might not. But that's why it's fun.
Of course, this line of reasoning is neither perfect nor meant to persuade anyone to stop hating dubs. But some people are just like that. I can understand your prejudice, but when you think about it, it's not that hard to understand our lack of prejudice.
And people NEVER localize out of laziness. Be it a dub or otherwise, making one takes MUCH more effort than reading and watching something at the same time.

I'm wondering if you were playing the game on mute then.No I wasn't. The jap dub was very good in Senki 1. As expected from a jap dub. But all eng dubs I have heard so far were far inferior to the jap dub. Even "good" eng dubs are still worse than the original jap dub.

Maybe if I knew how to speak Japanese I wouldn't care. I don't mind reading, but if they are talking, I would like to be able to HEAR what they're saying. But like I said, I'll end up buying it anyways. I love Record of Agarest a lot though.

Like with Joshua, some people just like hearing the audio in their own language. I personally prefer Japanese audio because I want to get as close to the original Japanese version as possible (I plan on playing games in Japanese once I learn enough of the language), but it's not "insane" or "lazy" to prefer the English dub. If people didn't listen to them, there would be no dubs in the first place.

Anyways, because I don't want to make a new thread, is the FAQ thread gonna open soon? Since they released a trailer (although the trailer doesn't make much sense to be honest) I would hope that they're close to testing. But then again the trailer didn't look like they were.
