In light of the recent announcement of Arcana Heart 3 on the playstaion network I was curious if we were going to see Arcana Heart 3 in any form on the Xbox 360?
I wear a Fez now.
Fez's are cool.

They should!
otherwise all XBox 360 users "won't make much hype" for this game!
It's been released on PS3 and XBox 360 in Japan, why only PS3 here?
it's such a hell to program on PS3 (so i heard from peoples working at Ubisoft, EA Games and Eidos Montreal), in fact, most developers make their games for XBox 360 first, and then port it on PS3.
So if they think they are going to lose money by releasing this game also on XBox 360 in North America, they are wrong, they will actually LOSE money because they only released it here on PS3.
Come on Aksys, the game is already made on XBox 360, it's much easier to program/hack/port on this console and much more profits will be made on XBox 360!
Yeah I'm not seeing why the 360 isn't getting an English release of the game.
We don't need anything fancy Aksys; we just need the game!
Would be cool to see it on XBLA

I wish it was coming out to 360. I have lost all hype for the game. At least midnight tonight -- MvC3!!!! It's Mahvel, baby!
Despite not being a 360 owner, I'd like to drop in and show my support for the cause. At the very least it would be nice if there was an explanation as to why the game isn't getting released for both platforms.
Also, I thought the days of Sony forcing you guys to put in on PSN was over. Ugh, why do they do this to us? DLGs never seem to be as profitable as retail ones...
I remember hearing that Agarest War did pretty well, although I'm not sure how that was broken up between platforms.
A few guesses on it, though, don't take my word...they are just possibilities.
- Fighting games tend to do better on PS3
- Didn't Aksys have some sort of problems with Blazblue on the 360?
- More anime-styled games nowadays from Japan seem to be pushing towards PS3 exclusive, so this might be a decision to expect more JP-styled game support for the PS3 or something? I dunno, seems this way with mainly RPGs.
- Perhaps they don't want to bother with a Disc version, and it rolls off into number 5
- Microsoft probably had a hand in making a dealbreaker. If the disc thing was something they didn't want to fund out for, maybe microsoft wanted it enforced?
Number 5, more than likely. (First part, I think they probably did have something to do with it, disc related or not) Regardless, again, just random guesses. I am sure they have their reasons, and hopefully, you guys will hear the reason soon enough.
Besides all what's going on, I see this picture here...
Battle Fantasia=PS3-DL/360-Disc
BlazBlue=PS3/360 - Both Disc Titles
Arcana Heart 3=PS3 Only? (DL)
But chances are that AH3 may come to the 360 on US shores if the PS3 version sells well, and if they might go like the Agarest route. Who knows if chances like that may happen.

I was kinda excited to play this game, but I dunno if I will now. I was hoping for a disc, at least on the 360...
Still, thanks for thinking of us and bringing this game over, Aksys!
It's not about fighting games selling more on PS3 or anime games favored on the system, both aren't really true and aren't reasons to restrict your potential market in the first place.
XBLA has a very low size limit at 2GB and tend to be a little more restrictive about what they allow on their service(Just ask Cave!). I bet Aksys ran into problems with that and the logistics just didn't allow them to do a digital release on the platform. So they decided to push for the digital release anyway, either because they wanted the game out the door fast, or because they didn't want to take the chance of doing a full fledged disc release. Hopefully it's the former and they still have a 360 disc release in the pipeline. Since retail releases are more complicated they would take more time and thus we don't get an announcement immediately.
If they're doing it because they're scared of risk, hopefully they don't decide on a 360 release from the sales data of the PS3 version. Afterall, most PS3 gamers who wanted this game already imported it. I see leaving out the sole community that -needed- this release as a huge mistake.
Anyway that's just my speculation. Maybe Aksys is trying to personally spite me by not releasing it on the console I wanted. Or Bill Gates hates girl fighters :P.
I hope they comment on this.
I don't agree with the XBLA reasoning. There's a Games on Demand feature for a reason, right? Disc-based games for download. I highly doubt that Microsoft would mandate a company to have released the game on a disc first, and it obviously has a higher overhead as far as size is concerned.

They can, and they do. They didn't allow Oddworld or any other game that treatment yet. They probably want to keep that section of their store strictly retail titles to not confuse customers. Plus if you actually look into the package file of a GoD release, it's literally a repacked .iso. There's actually tools on the internet to turn them into iso's and vice versa.
Yes it's all silly, and they could technically use the GoD or Demo package system for titles in the XBLA section, but Microsoft does lots of silly things and I doubt they'll stop for some niche fighting games.
Here's the stuff about Oddworld if you're interested.

I'm sad and happy at the same time.
The community help alot to get the game in the US, I'm super happy.
I prefer to play fighters on my Xbox (With the joystick and not the D-pad of course xD).
When I read it was only a Digital Download, I was really reeeeally sad, so sad that I became depress and emo. «(T_T-)
Yeah...
I hate Digital Download on Consoles.
360 retail game from one territory cannot be released as an XBLA game in another.
I say have a patience, someone will bring 360 disk version of AH over in US, either Aksys themselves or another publisher.

I hope whoever it is will also bring Cross Edge Dash over as well.
Come on Aksys. Lots of us were begging and pleading for this release. I'll bet quite a few of them, like myself, only own an Xbox 360. I don't have the money at this time to buy a PS3. Please give us the Xbox 360 version as well. I don't care whether it is disc-based or Xbox Live Marketplace, I. -your mother is a classy lady-. WANT. THIS. GAME!!!!
Why don't we all just wait a few days and let Aksys have their say on the situation...
Seriously, every time they announce something haters jump on immediately before they even address the issue. "Why isn't AH3 being released on the PC in Indonesia...... WAAAAAAAAH. You suck Aksys and you hate your fans and you pee on the flag..."
Am I happy we don't get a Blu-Ray in a box? No. But is it a foregone conclusion this won't be on the 360? Microsoft and SCEA are different entities and last time I checked, XBox owners got a better deal on Agarest, and that wasn't announced until many months after the PSN presser.
SO PLZ CHILLAX WITH THE NEGATIVITY!!!
People always manage to take a positive and then demand another pound of flesh, never being satisfied with what was just THE FIRST FRICKIN' ANNOUNCEMENT!!! I'm guessing most of the Aksys staffers are out of the office trying to enjoy their VD with their loved ones... Then there's this kinda shyte that ruins Valentine's Day like a bad flare-up of herpes...
I just asked.
It never hurts to ask.
