Why don't we all just wait a few days and let Aksys have their say on the situation...

Seriously, every time they announce something haters jump on immediately before they even address the issue. "Why isn't AH3 being released on the PC in Indonesia...... WAAAAAAAAH. You suck Aksys and you hate your fans and you pee on the flag..."

Am I happy we don't get a Blu-Ray in a box? No. But is it a foregone conclusion this won't be on the 360? Microsoft and SCEA are different entities and last time I checked, XBox owners got a better deal on Agarest, and that wasn't announced until many months after the PSN presser.
SO PLZ CHILLAX WITH THE NEGATIVITY!!!

People always manage to take a positive and then demand another pound of flesh, never being satisfied with what was just THE FIRST FRICKIN' ANNOUNCEMENT!!! I'm guessing most of the Aksys staffers are out of the office trying to enjoy their VD with their loved ones... Then there's this kinda shyte that ruins Valentine's Day like a bad flare-up of herpes...

For the record, I never said Aksys sucks in my post. I still have mad respect for Aksys Games. I'm just very disappointed with them at the moment, as I'm sure a lot of fellow gamers are. If for some reason they don't give us AH3 on the 360, I can get over it and move on. It will take some time but I will. Besides, I'll still have MVC3 to sate my fighting lust.

But I'll still give this a try. Please Aksys Games. Please give us poor, lowly 360 owners Arcana Heart 3. Please with a strawberry syrup-covered Heart and Saki on top?

To me PS3/360/Wii releases don't matter (own them all). I would prefer multi-platform releases so I can choose which system to buy for.

Unfortunately I don't want any digital downloads (unless they are smallish XBLA/PSN games) so this is a no buy for me.

    Sorry Aksys on this one.

I feel the same way. I wish a disc was released for 360 and or PS3. I would pay more to have it on disc than the Digital Download. I feel restricted by the download, can't take it to friends houses to play, etc. That and I like owning psychical copies. If its only going to be a download in NA I'm going to import the PS3 version.

Wow, no answer from Aksys since the announcement. Ignoring fans?

There's a pretty good chance that they may not be at liberty to discuss it.

If Arcana Heart 3 doesn't make it to 360, I have faith that it won't be due to lack of trying on Aksys' part.

Aksys better step it up, and get a 360 release as well, otherwise I've lost all respect for them.

They can, and they do. They didn't allow Oddworld or any other game that treatment yet. They probably want to keep that section of their store strictly retail titles to not confuse customers. Plus if you actually look into the package file of a GoD release, it's literally a repacked .iso. There's actually tools on the internet to turn them into iso's and vice versa.

Yes it's all silly, and they could technically use the GoD or Demo package system for titles in the XBLA section, but Microsoft does lots of silly things and I doubt they'll stop for some niche fighting games.

Here's the stuff about Oddworld if you're interested.
    http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/xbox-360/news/oddworld-xbla-plans-scrubbed-due-to-size-limit/a-2010092915321690046/g-20060321132945404017

That's kind of what I was trying to get at. If the retail thing is the major hitch, just make the .iso then publish it as a Game on Demand. But yeah, I get it, Microsoft is pretty restrictive.

My first thought would be that the Oddworld guys didn't pursue that avenue considering they're not talking about it...But they probably did. Just don't see why they're not talking about it.

Thanks for the clarification though. I suspected that Games on Demand were just repackaged .iso files (I mean, otherwise all these companies must be dedicating some staff to each "port") but I wouldn't have bet money on it. =P

360 retail game from one territory cannot be released as an XBLA game in another.

Actually I'm more certain that the issue is related to the fact that (as far as I'm aware) XBLA releases have to be world-wide releases.

Maybe it's just Microsoft? Should I send Microsoft a threat letter?

please do everything to help the large amount of 360 users who cant afford a ps3. the ps3 already is region free while xbox isnt. then releasing it on the system that people already have access to it while leaving the 360 users in the dark. just put it on a disc. no need to add english voices or anything cause i doubt the people interested in this game will mind too much if its all japanese.

If there are still dealings behind the scenes, then prehaps Aksys should have waited on their press release. Of course there was going to be a reaction, especially when Arcana Heart 3 is available on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Japan. Not to mention the European release will also be on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 thanks to pQube.

I'm happy that Arcana Heart 3 is getting a North American release, but it just makes no sense release only on one platform. Though I can only guess that SCEA has to do with it being PSN only.

It is likely that Aksys wanted to coincide the press release for Arcana Heart 3 on Valentine's Day. So maybe the Xbox 360 announcment will coincide with White Day?

    It never hurts to ask.

^ Not you, a lot of the posts have been respectful, perfectly civil, and courteous; your's included... I just know there's gonna be hell to pay until word comes from an Aksys official, and more still after the fact... Below is more the type I was talking about.

    Place fist here, bro.

my thoughts on this are that I hope they are going to release it on the 360 in some way. If not I will honestly be sorely disappointed. I've been wanting to play Arcana Heart since it came to the PS2 but sadly I could never find it at my local gamestops. It was always sold out. Now when I heard AC3 was for both consoles I figured it'd be a dead lock if we got it here stateside, I'd be able to get it on the 360 finally and enjoy it. I really hope all my waiting and hoping isn't going up in smoke.

Really? There is the old Pony Express... Do you still need/want a copy, because I use to sell games online in my spare time, that is, back when I had spare time.. If so, let me know how much you would be looking to pay or just check Amazon... Oh, and if you need my help in ascertaining one then please respond here, as I have no idea which of my 10 e-mail accounts may be linked to this message board... Cheers!

I read on another forum that it is Mircosoft policy that is likely preventing the release for 360. NOTE: I'm a PS3 owner and not really 100% that this is fact.

It can't be launched on XBLA because MS policy says that XBLA games can't cost more than $20 USD, the game is supposed to cost $29.99.

It can't be launched on Game On Demand as that service requires a corresponding retail release for God only knows why.

This causes a rather large gap (most retail games will launch around $40 minimum to cover material costs), and seems highly foolish on the part of MS. If both of these facts are indeed true, the problem lies with Microsoft and not Aksys. I have the utmost respect for Aksys and I HIGHLY doubt they'd ignore the 360, especially when it comes to fighting games which have sold pretty equally well on both systems.

What I've been hearing is that it isn't a price issue so much as it is a space issue. It would seem that downloads from XBLA can't be more than 2 gigs, and as you said, a Games On Demand game needs a corresponding retail release, which would make a downloadable 360 game rather tricky.

Even then, this is still a problem that Aksys can fix by giving it a retail release like it is in the other two regions. Like most players want anyway.

Again, everyone chill out... The first announcement just came YESTERDAY! I'm sure BIg Bro' Beli is scrambling as fast as he can across the Aksys ranks trying to find what info he can and cannot disclose and will then make a statement ASAP...
'Cuz god knows the fate of the world hangs in the balance of everyone knowing RIGHT NOW!!!
Why don't we all just sit back, relax, watch something really important [Egypt, anyone?], and not speculate about Microsoft v. Arcana Heart until there's something credible and/or substantial...
