Mentions two games... But this has me nervous "Both are "games that we should know about" as RPG fans." While RPG fans are more likely to play visual novels, at the same time it just seems a weird way to word it if it was going to be a visual novel.

Found something interesting while looking through the content files of the 360 version. I ran the default.xex file of Ever17 (think of it as the .exe file for 360 games) through XexTool(a little tool that outputs information contained in xex files) and I got a list of game ratings from various ratings agencies. Look for yourselves link. On line 113, it says ESRB_RP (ESRB Rating Pending) which means this title has been submitted to the ESRB and is awaiting final approval. Now I don't want to give out false hopes so keep in mind that they could have done this for some reason other than to bring it to North America. Perhaps they're required to put that there even if it hasn't been submitted to the ESRB, I do not know. It is interesting to see this and I hope it is indicative of things to come.

999 is just as fantastic as EVER 17. It's a very niche title and rated M. Visual novels have had it rough here in the United States in the past, and the M rating made it that much harder to sell since it could only be sold to adults. It was a huge risk to localize the game. In the end, 999 ended up being a huge success in the United States. If the can succeed with a rated M niche visual novel like 999, then AKSYS can definitely succeed with a localization of the EVER 17 remake for the XBOX 360. I hope that if we get it there will be a limited edition bundle, but either way, this game will be an instant pre-order for me if it gets localized. I know a lot of people won't agree with this, but it's better than nothing. Even if the game is only available as an XBOX marketplace download, I would still get it. I'll take the localization of the game however it comes. Something is always better than nothing. Please AKSYS! Get the license for this game! If anyone can create a successful localization the EVER 17 remake, it's AKSYS. You guys know you can make money with this game, so do what you can to negotiate a license for it so anyone who missed out on EVER 17 can play this wonderful game!

Reading the playthrough of this makes me really interested in it even more, it really does cut out quite a lot of filler (though admittedly we're just on the first route still) and the pacing is changed quite a bit so there's never any real downtime of "nothing really happens" for long.
