It's pretty sad in Japan as a massive quake brought on a devastating tsunami.

I just found out that over a thousand people died from this. Had I known that, I never would have made light of it.
I hope they are ok....it been on the news all-day. my prays go out to the Japanese people. I wish i could find out what happen to my old friends, Junko, Utako, and Shiganori and if they are ok.

Is Daisuke Ishiwatari okay?

He probably is... One of my friends expressed concern over Akira Toriyama's safety, actually.
At least we have a (fairly small) list of companies that seem to be alright:

edit: and a people finding thing from Google
Well, hopefully a new and better Japan will rise from the ashes.
One with less spinelessness, misandry, pedophilia, isolationism, hatred for foreigners (because EVERYONE went out of the way to help them out), reality-challenged anime / manga / visual novels, and NEETs.
You're a bit of an ass, aren't you? If anyone is reality challenged, it certainly seems to be you, not Japan. You're no better than those evangelists and Nationalists of America saying Japan brought this upon themselves. Because, you know, Mother Nature serves to punish, and isn't just the planet working and doing its thing.
My heart goes out to Japan, and I do hope they can rebuild their lives with success.
@hectotane
........Do us all i favor and grow up! you wouldnt be saying that -your mother is a classy lady- if you were going through what they are now. And your insulting them at a time like this? you sir, are very troubled and should have a long look at yourself.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you, but people are dying here, asshat.
EDIT: So, this Hectotane guy has a blog:

I sat there and had to deal with Japan's -your mother is a classy lady- via their late night anime ever since Ranma 1/2 and Evangelion during the mid-90s. I had to suffer through the anime industry's "Girls Always Win, Guys Always Lose" mentality for WAY TOO LONG.
You heard it here first, folks: Thousands of Japanese are missing, in danger, or dying... because their cartoons suck.
We sure do meet some nice, rational people on the internet, don't we?

If Japan were a fictional land that really was riddled with all the things you just listed, you would surely come across as much, much, MUCH less of the heartless ass you're making yourself out to be right now.
I'm willing to bet you don't care what we're saying to and about you, and that you only said this for kicks to see how (and how many) people would react. I'd be totally indifferent if I turn out to be wrong.

Also, you are banned.
