I've never played the Mass Effect games, so I can't comment on that, but I've always found Elder Scrolls to be a bit "dry" at best. Just way too much sandbox for me. Plus, as huge as the games are, the variety equipment-wise is just not there. I like seeing all kinds of different armor and weapons and what they look like, but most of the stuff in Elder Scrolls is either not that different, or just stuff you've upgraded. I'd appreciate something more along the lines of available armor and weapons you find in the recent Fallout games.

Edit: And to the people giving Neptunia -your mother is a classy lady-, what were you expecting? Lol. Its fun just because its a silly funny little game. Its not meant to have some massively epic story full of srs bzns. Its all about lulz and fanservice. I also found the sheer amount of game and anime references they fit in to be quite impressive.

What's a "western rpg?" :3 Flat out, I hate western rpgs and don't know how anyone could play them. lol. My buddy is way into them, so I end up trying most of them and ehhhhh...not for me.

Neptune is fun. It's exactly what I expected. But after having just finished ar tonelico, it's curently in the "ehh, i'll get around to it" category until the excitement of ar tonelpedo wears off. --"Its fun just because its a silly funny little game"-- This is what is killing it for me until I forget about Tonelico. Tonelico was 5x more funny and silly and filled with "wtf just happened" moments and had a good story as well. Everytime I play Neptune, i'm just like "eh, Tonelico did it better. lol" Just gotta wait it out

Ah, yeah I guess I can see that. What I'd love to see them actually do is all work together on one of these games, instead of just seemingly lending their names. Gust does pretty good music, so put them in charge of that, and nobody thinks up goofier stories than NIS. Think if it were a real collaboration we'd have something pretty cool on our hands.

Apparently there was enough success to make a sequel (I think success is what makes sequels right?) Hyperdimension Neptunia mk.2.

Neptunia was ok for me, don't get me wrong. I loved the lulz and references they made throughout the game. If I were to give it a score, it'd be 7/10. Sure, battles can be repetitive, but what game isn't in a way?

While the PSN is still down for a few more days, doing a little research on upcoming games.

Aksys has me looking forward to BB:CSII for Psp.
The next NIS America game I'm looking forward to is Disgaea 4 for PS3.
And Atlus is kinda getting me freaked out/intrigued with Catherine, also for PS3.

Mmm Catherine. I've been intrigued by that game ever since it was announced. Glad to see an SMT game (well, no confirmation as to if it's part of the SMT line of games or not, but seems like it could be) going back to darker roots. Persona 4 was so... Happy XD Annoyingly so at points. So yeah, I'm pleased to see a darker game from them.

It's not and there were talks of Atlus making it into its out series.

Huh, interesting... Catherine seemed more like a one-shot type deal to me. I only know the extreme basics of the story though (Been avoiding forums about it like the plague.) Either way, it's still a darker entry from Atlus, which is the main thing for me.

I loved Persona 3, and the other SMT games. Catherine intrigues me in the dark theme, but after watching trailers of it, I don't know what, but something is giving me a feeling that I'm going to be freaked out after playing it for awhile.

The last game to give me that feeling was from the Fatal Frame series. The thought of letting ghosts get close to you for higher powered shots still gave me chills when I was a kid, nya.

Relationships tend to never be a one shot type of deal. It's "complicated."

I think the Persona series has gone through strides to show that the JRPG genre isn't dead just yet. I'm honestly hoping for a high-profile Persona game in the future but I don't think that'll happen since they're aiming for the 3DS I believe for the next entry. Catherine looks quite interesting. Could be another Conker's Bad Fur Day. Here's to hoping it does well.

I haven't messed around with my PS3 for quite a while, so I already put it back. I was lucky to have my own 360 to play with in the meantime. Not sure if my CC info has been hacked, though...

yay. More rumors that may potentially pro-long the psn outage due to more precautions. Whatever. I would rather have it stay offline longer to enhance security than have all of this shenanigans start over later down the road.

p.s. has anybody been following the psn blog and reading the comments? They are disgusting.

People are selfish a**holes, and dont care as long as they can play their game online. Not to wish the worst of them but I hope their ps3 yellow light and their xbox red ring the day after. Why the day after you may ask? Because you know they'll be back after their ps3 dies and complain up and down the wall and just a kick from karma to the nads, ya feel me?

But anyways, back to work and growing sims addiction. Oh, another wtf I found playing sims 3 is you can procreate with the deceased.
