See I am viewing my stance at a consumer level.
Thats where I see my negative.
As a business, there is no negative as you said. I am not gonna argue with it because thats all true with what you said. I have ZERO counters against that and I never said it was a bad business choice at all on my post.
However I am STILL a consumer in the end.
And THIS consumer PREFERS disks. (Especially Collector's Edition/Limited Edition Packages!)
I don't understand why you even wanted to counter me Tokyo Sandblaster because I would think you would have clearly read on my post that it favors the publisher/developer 100%. But it doesn't favor the consumer at all.
Of course I will buy games if they are only released Digital Download Only for North America. However...it doesn't mean I am not disappointed. It just means I have to spend more to get what I want. >_> (View picture below to see what I mean)

As you can see I have Record of Agarest Wars Collector's Edition for Xbox360. Next to it...I also have the PS3 Europe Version of Agarest War. Both are still sealed and brand new.
Why?
Because I also bought Aksys Games's PS3 Version of Record of Agarest War on PSN. >_>
The next game is SIREN: New Translations. I got 2 versions of this game.
1) North American PSN Version which is broken up into multiple Digital Download as Episodes.
2) Japan's Disc Version of ALL the Episodes on Blu-Ray. (This is how it was originally released in Japan. And yes this version contains the same English Audio/Subtitles as the North American version. No differences between the North American and Japan's Version.)
Next game is Patapon 2 for North America...in UMD Format.
Yeah I know what you are thinking. "But Red! Sony ONLY released Patapon 2 as a Digital Download Only for North America. Europe and Japan got it on both UMD and Digital Download!"
You are correct...until Patapon 2 in North America BOMBED. They finally released it as a UMD. (And yes I own the Digital Download version as well because thats what Sony gave me originally. >_> Dunno if I want to thank Sony or what on this.)
Finally PixelJunk Monster's DELUXE. A game originally made as a Digital Download Only on PS3. I bought all of the PixelJunk Monster's game on PS3. Its fun. Then Sony wanted to see if they could take a Digital Download Only title...and see if it will get great sales as a Retail UMD Title. My answer: GOOD CHOICE SONY!! And bought to show my support that they should do exactly that.
So Tokyo Sandblaster. If you are talking about Options...I got them all. ^___^ But I and my wallet would prefer if North America gets games on discs.
