I understand that the arcade/psp/3DS versions of CS2 has various content that the upcoming patch wont have, eg. new intro, arcade mode for new chars, etc.

What is the likelihood of seeing a full disc release of CS2 on PS3/360?

(its also nice to have a disc you can take to friends' houses and not have to worry about downloading patches, dlc, or unlocking Mu)

Given that there isnt any announcement in japan so far, I assume theres nothing much Aksys can say about it. But just in case you can drop a hint or if the answer is definitely "No"...

Will not happen.

PS3 / 360 will get a CS2 patch and Platinum as a DLC char in may. We will not new story modes and so on.

And honestly: If they really release CS2 as a full price game for PS3 and 360 I will NOT buy it because I already bought CS and the little bit extra content of CS2 could be easly published as DLC.

patch is free only have to pay for platinum

I'd imagine that if they chose to release CS2 for consoles as a retail disc (I personally doubt it, that would ruin the point of the handheld releases) it would be marketed towards people who don't have the game yet, like SSF4AE.

It definitely wont happen at the same time as the patch. But I was more asking if there were plans for some sort of compilation disc later on, similar to how other games get "Game of the Year Editions" and so forth.

Releasing it like that would be pointless financially. Most people who own the original game aren't going to rebuy it when they've already got CS1 and can just download a free patch that has all the content of the new disc (and those who would just don't understand the value of money). It just wouldn't make financial sense for Aksys to release a game that no one's going to buy.

The only way I see CSII being released on disc is when the "sometime in the future" last release of Blazblue comes out and they release a bundle for BB, in which you can get the entire story of BB in one nice set for $89.99.

lolz the price wouldn't be $89.99 silly big eyed cat thing. If CS1 came out at 40 dollars why would a patched one with included content(even with a bundle) be 90? Doesn't make sense. At most I'll say is about $70 and even that sounds a little steep. But I digress.

I still want a disc copy of CS2 with ALL dlc content DX voices, colors, characters....well except unlimited chars; you have to earn them >;O

Nya... but the bundle includes Calamity Trigger too. Since most games start off at 59.99, getting the other two games would be a nice deal.

Calamity Trigger , Continium Shift, and just to make up a name for the last game, Blazblue: Calamity's End? Me thinks that's like getting the last game for 60, and th e other two games for 15 each. The prce seems fair, nya.

Speaking of the last Blazblue game, I supprt Ragna's claim to see Jubei as a playable character, nya. (I'd love more teach me Ms. Litchi skits too nya.)

Why do people want old versions of the game?

I traded in CT for credit when I bought CS. The scene only plays the most recent revision.

Anyway I would buy a disc release of CS2 if contained all the DLC from CS and all the new stuff.

SSFIVAE is getting DLC and Disc options, why shouldn't BBCS?

If CAVE can afford to do it with DFK, I don't see why Aksys wouldn't be able to afford it.

Why would they make a disc release? All that CS2 for consoles is getting is a balance patch, some bug fixes, and redone challenges.

Might be possible in some future, nya. After all, like Agarest, which was originally only DD, came out on 360 a few months after. Expect the unexpected, nya. X3

I just don't see them doing it, because there isn't much that the console versions are getting, and putting the extra stuff from the handheld games onto the consoles would make them lose out on those sales.

I don't think so either, but it is wishful thinking for some. The only way I'd ever see a disc release is by a bundle of some sort. Like they bundled Devil May Cry (which story is hard to follow considering their in a different order of sorts), Grand Theft Auto (with little to no related story, just gameplay), it's the only possible way I'd ever see a disc release of CS2.

I just bought an Xbox 360 and would really like to see this happen. The store where I bought the console only had Calamity Trigger in stock and I didn't think twice about getting it instead of waiting for them to bring a copy of Continuum Shift because of a couple reasons, like not owning an HDTV yet (so I'm currently ruining the game's graphics, even with a component video cable ;_; ), being in serious need of games since I just got the system and the 360 controller not being all that good for fighting games anyways, but chief among them was that I won't be connecting it to Xbox LIVE and I want to get the full game with all characters already included in it.

If you did, I'd totally order it in the blink of an eye.

I'm sorry but why didn't you just order CS and download the free patch? You may have been missing characters but youd still have the lastest version of the characters. I really can't see how this was logical.

I forgot to say that I live in Argentina. The 360 is not officially supported here (and consequently there's no Xbox LIVE support either, unless I fake my location which I'm not sure about doing), so I have to wait one or two weeks to get out-of-stock games. And besides all that, my wireless router is kinda busted (it's currently disconnected from the modem so there's only one desktop PC with Internet access in my house) and CT was slightly cheaper, so I definitely couldn't resist.
