   Silconera on Playstation Network

   Playstation Network is coming back up soon, nya!

   Well, maybe not everything. Buying games may not be possible until sometime later in the month. Still, it's a step forward than a step backwards.

   There will be a "Welcome Back" package for the inconvenience that was caused to everyone that uses the PSN as well; Sony is usually nice to provide little goodies like that (from what I've seen from them in the past.) Quite a nice package it'll be too.

   -Selected PlayStation entertainment content for free download
   -All existing PlayStation Network customers will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service
   -Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive 30 days free service.
   -Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will receive 30 days free service

   Aside from that, still no real news in regards to why someone or some people would attack the network so suddenly. Thoughts, nya?

   Its a smart move by Sony to give all Costumer a free PSN+ mounth, because it can pull new PSN+ costumer

   ...WHAT?!

   SO I HAVE TO WAIT EVEN LONGER FOR AH3?!

   ...I have had to send in my PS3, Got my identity nearly stolen, HIT BY A CAR, AND I STILL HAVE TO WAIT?!

   That said, free PSN+ is a good move.

   Quotes from Kazuo Hirai during the press conference in Tokyo (source IGN).

   "These illegal attacks obviously highlight the widespread problem with cyber-security. We take the security of our consumers' information very seriously and are committed to helping our consumers protect their personal data. In addition, the organization has worked around the clock to bring these services back online, and are doing so only after we had verified increased levels of security across our networks."

   "Our global audience of PlayStation Network and Qriocity consumers was disrupted. We have learned lessons along the way about the valued relationship with our consumers, and to that end, we will be launching a customer appreciation program for registered consumers as a way of expressing our gratitude for their loyalty during this network downtime, as we work even harder to restore and regain their trust in us and our services."

   Sony did not give a timeframe for when it wil be back up, but the company stated that all PlayStation Network services will operational by the end of May.

   I'm waiting to see what the Playstation Store has to offer in terms of add-ons.

   NOW this is totally bad for Aksys. I don't know how many day one sales AH3 managed to get on the first day, my guess is around 500 or so, but this can't be helping if the PSN store is down for so long. I feel bad, I really hope this doesn't discourage you guys from using digital distribution again and continue your efforts to bringing high-class Japan-only titles to the states.

   As always I shall be looking forward to the next game you guys localize.

   EDIT: Also, I'm wondering if we could get some sort of preview of the DLC themes/avatars for AH3 since we probably won't be seeing them for awhile.

   if we can't choose when to activate that 30 day ps+,then we are sort of getting ripped off with the store being down.

   You still get Cloud saving, but hope the 1 mounth free PSN+ gets actived, when PSN store goes live again (not that it affect me, since I already have a Subscribtion to PSN+ and gonna continue to)

    Looking around nya, Sony is taking the final steps before restoring PSN and the music service thingy nya. So tonight, tomorrow, or Saturday nya.
