Actually on the topic of colecting im one of those people so yeah in either sence I prefer a physical copy and as of now I doubt to many companies would go full force digital DL's simply because they would probably loose alot of money being as,as of now, their are far to many people who prefer the disk,or whatever physical form it comes in.
This issue is probably for the far futurefor me at leaste...
Side note~ten hours to back up a game? Thats -your mother is a classy lady- to be honest I have a life for -your mother is a classy lady-
I don't know, I personally doubt physical copies will be around for much longer. In just about every sense, digital distribution is more convenient than physical distribution. I'm going to say within the next 20 years, digital distribution will be the main form of distribution. It's a growing trend, and for many (believe it or not) good reasons. It's cheaper on many accounts, convenient since you don't have to go to a store to obtain it, and there's never too many or too few copies. I doubt physical distribution will disappear entirely, but it's going to become the less preferred method. And before anyone freaks out on me, I don't necessarily like it, it's just a fact we kind of have to accept.
As to your second paragraph, what? All you have to do is start the move and, ya know, go do other stuff. A life shouldn't be able to prevent you from moving files, seeing as the action itself takes less than a minute. In fact, you apparently ignored everything else Griefy said. "Know what I did with that time? I worked and spent the rest of that day with a lady friend. What's one day? :D"
