And now I'm wishing I said nothing -w-.
Geez guys who haven't played, they aren't THAT distracting. =p

Won't stop me from playing, but it is kind of shameless to see this in a game.
I am vehemently against this kind of trash. Nobody playing these games is going to seriously be urged to buy a Honda because they saw an ad for it in Blazblue or AH3.
Where do I go to make a formal complaint about this?
To each, their own...
To each player, their own playstyle...
To each person, their own opinion...
Hmm... so many things to go with that little slogan. Haha..

Oddly enough, I was playing Wipeout HD Fury last night and I noticed it has ads between races. I'm sure this and Arcana Heart are the other games either. Product placement in games are also advertisement. I'm guessing this person against adds in games is also against Peace Walker and Phantasy Star Portable as well. Ads do not stop a game from being good. Its also revenue

Arc System Works has an English contact e-mail here: http://www.arcsystemworks.com/contact.html
...*Facepalm* People are really complaining about this so called "trash?" It's not like on TV or youtube where you have to sit through the ad to get what you want, the ad is in a harmless place not interfering at ALL with what you are doing. Besides, this is a way for many companies to recover lost profits from the PSN outage, there's nothing wrong with it. It's called business.

Agreed.
(And the complaining is making me wish I never made an observation)

Oh god, YT ads are terrible. Kindle ads are good though.

I agree, this is disgusting, and pretty much ensures that I shall never buy a digital game from them again. If it was a free game, or a game that cost $15.00, I could understand, but for a $30.00, I would never have imagined that they would do something so backhanded.
Aren't the ads gone now?
In any event, as I said before, are ads really that bad? They don't really affect the overall gameplay. I'd understand if a ad shows up in the middle of gameplay, similar to the ads on YT.
Honesty, I didn't know about the ads until this thread pointed it out.

Well that entirely depends on the person, I personally abhor advertising and the subliminal messages that are common in advertisements, so in my case, yes they are quite bad indeed. There are several reasons why I do not watch television at all, this being one of the key reasons. Not in the least because almost 80% of the Ads that are on television are for drugs, I mean honestly, not only is the show interrupted every 10 minutes so you can have 5 minutes of commercials, which tell you what to wear, and what to consume. The drug ones are the worst. You could be depressed (and our miracle drug shall cure you!) you could have a running nose, or sinus infections, high blood pressure, brain tumor or bad eye sight. You could be going bald! You need larger *ahem* assets. You must lose 50lbs and you could have erectile dysfunction. Hurray, look at the list of problems I can choose from. >< it's like a bloody choose your own adventure novel.
On top of this they have decided to implement pop-ups during the show. Its bad enough that they are on the internet, and we get to suffer through the normal commercials but now they are on during the show and unfortunately the fancy popup blockers don't exist in tv land. Thanks but I think we get enough ads without putting it in our video games.
We watch TV to unwind and escape reality, same with video games. I have no need to be reminded of how screwed up our world is, or what potentially new miracle drug exists that can cure all (albeit with the chance that you may implode, experience spontaneous combustion or turn into sofa.) I rather pay a little more for a physical copy and no ads.
/END RANT.
Needless to say, am not very fond of ads.
END RANT.
With something like public broadcast television, ads are the price I pay for watching shows for free. But when a game is concerned, I already payed for it, why should I have to look at ads. They might not be distracting or anything to some people, but really, its the principle of the matter. What am I getting in exchange for these ads?
Nothing. The ads aren't for you. Its money paid to the developer/publisher to cover cost. Higher budget games need to be covered some way. Same is true for product placement in a movie. If you are a Pepsi can, 9 times out of 10, Pepsi paid for that.
And Cheesus Gripes has turned the water into whine...
