I'm a huge metal gear fan, so I picked up some books that inspired Hideo Kojima and whose influences can be seen directly in his games: The city of glass by paul auster and The box man by kobo abe--it's about a guy who lives walking around with a box on his head; sound familiar? :3 I imported this sweet Evangelion shirt :3 then got A.C.E. R cause it's got code geass mechs in it o.0 and got the Disgaea 4 LE for pretty cheap (but the box is a bit damaged).

To begin, as to why they can't give them out is possibly one of two reasons: They still need it for marketing purposes, and according to the "rules," they are supposed to throw away the marketing materials after a certain period has passed. They usually do marketing material changes during the middle and/or during the end/beginning of the month, though some material is reused for another period.
Now, as to why they gave me the stand. The manager of the store gave it to me, simply because of two reasons: one, he had no room in the store (and I admit, it's a small store,) and two, previously, I've been asking for them to save the wall displays (I'll show in a future picture, since it's a WIP) and the last two I asked for they didn't do so, so in other words, it's a sort of a apology gift.
I know I said that the employees can't give it out because of the rule where they have to throw it away. However, the manager (and the rest of the employees there) agree that that rule is rather ridiculous. Also, I'm good friends (as well as a good customer) with all of them there so they do go the extra mile for me (they're the ones that went as far as to drive to another store to pick up a game {Deathsmiles and Hakuoki} and bring back for me to buy. Of course, I don't know if this service is provided everywhere, but I still like it nonetheless.)

Hmm... I do have a few pictures to share, but I think I'll wait a bit before posting them. Indeed... Hatsune Miku is what I was trying to refer to... accursed auto-correct feature on these phones...
EDIT: After watching the video...in one sense, it's similar to a DDR game, except you're not dancing, but watching someone dance. Might be something I'll pick up sometime in the future.
I was playing the demo of The Idolmaster 2 game and it seemed interesting. I'm a little curious after playing the game, though a bit cautious after what you say about it...a little research might be in order nyaa.

Idolmaster is addicting by nature. And there's a humongous amount of DLC for each game. Getting all the DLC would be about triple the cost to import the game. Which is why I playfully called it Idolcrack.

The music and choreography are definitely the bread and butter of the IMAS games. And the charming characters, I suppose.
The other half, as console mentioned, is interacting with the characters, which can be fun. You have to raise their status that will help (or hinder) the auditions they need to advance to idol stardom. Since my understanding of Japanese is very limited I can only focus on raising their dance visual lessons as opposed to lyrics; three assets they need to work on while auditioning.
I use to help a dude from Japan try to make sense of the lyrics when he translated them, but he seems to be taking a break at the moment. You can have a look at some of the videos he has uploaded:

Oh, man. Personally, my favorite rhythm game since Elite Beat Agents. It is sort of like DDR mixed with Parappa The Rapper. I have the first game only, but there is the sequel with added music and then third release called Extend.
The fourth release, aptly titled Next Hatsune Miku Project Diva, is coming to Vita and PS3. The former is said to be released sometime this year, last I heard. EXCITE

I got tired of waiting for something good to show up in the powerup-rewards site, so I simply ordered these Bucky Cubes. Smaller than I thought, but even if their just magnets, they are entertaining. My cat and Jubei make a cameo in the pic nyaa.
After collecting them, I decided to stop at 9. These are the Wall Pictures I've collected from Gamestop. The funny thing is, aside from Soulcalibur 5, I don't own any of these games.

And for the last pictures of my latest pictures in the past few weeks are the wall scrolls I ordered via Amazon. These ones turned out a bit better than the Blazblue one.
Pictures are of Persona 3 and Record of Agarest War 1. Going to order more Wall scrolls (possibly a total of 5 more) so more photos in the future nyaa.

Ooh looks like people are starting to post some new gaming stuff lately so I guess I shall be up next with my Spring Edition post! ^__^ As usual for me, all stuff shown are brand new still shrink wrapped cause I never have time to play the current stuff. X_x

Indeed. As long as they entertain us, that is the only thing that really matters. Looking at your list, I could say that I either have the game, would have played the game if I had the system, or played the game on another system (Tales of the Abyss.)
Hmm... I think I might. Though... looking at the Wii line up and its history... I'm a bit sceptical that the Wii U library will impress me. Seeing how the Wii is just 100 dollars, I think the decision will be made when the Wii U starting line up has been revealed.
