GGAC Plus for Wii - Did it ship?

I visited about half a dozen game stores today, trying to find a copy of Accent Core Plus for the Wii. Not only couldn't I find it anywhere, but most of the places I checked had no idea the game even existed. The only place that even had the game listed in their system was Game Crazy, and the guy said that according to the computer, every store in the area was out of stock. I eventually gave up and came home. I really wanted the game to play over the weekend, but I decided to bite the bullet and order it on Amazon...

Since I was able to get the game online then it obviously came out when it was supposed to on the 12th. You definitely wouldn't know that based on what the stores said, though. It struck me as odd that no one had the Wii version in or even had a listing for it in the inventory system, since the PS2 and PSP versions were both fairly easy to find around here within a day or two of the release date. Did the Wii version not get shipped out to stores or something?

The GameStop site doesn't even have Accent Core Plus listed, how strange.
Reminds me of searching for Samurai Shodown Anthology, which I had to buy from PlayNTrade, because they're awesome and totally special ordered it for me, yay!

I've called everywhere! I can not find this game anywhere. Alot of stories said it was for the PS2 and PSP but didn't know it even came out for the wii. Was the wii version canceled. If so i'm gonna be really bummed!

The Wii version exists. I've heard that same story for Samurai Shodown Anthology for PS2 not even existing, if that's true than how have I played it? If you're referring to GameStop then I definitely know they're wrong, they suck, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret.

I got an e-mail from Amazon today saying the game wouldn't ship until tomorrow (the 19th) even though I ordered it last week. Could it be that the shipments went out late? I seem to remember something similar happening with King of Fighters XI. NOBODY had that game in until like two weeks after the release date since SNKPUSA got the shipments out late and didn't bother to notify anyone.

Sorry it's taking your a while to get your copy, but I can confirm that our shipments left our warehouse on the 12th. Unfortunately, it does take them time to get from our warehouse to Amazon's, were they also need to be processed, and then shipped back out to you.

No problem, I don't mind waiting a few extra days for some GG goodness. It's just strange that this game seems to be floating around in some digital Twilight Zone where half the stores aren't aware of its existence and shipments are going out later than usual. No biggie though, this seems to happen somewhat frequently with 2D fighters for some reason.

Seems like a lot of places just don't care about 2D fighters.

Well good news and bad news. Good news is I got the game today, bad news is I apparently got a defective copy. I was able to load it up just fine earlier today and played for about two hours, then turned it off for a couple hours, and now the disc won't load. It seems to boot up everything just fine except after the Aksys logo I just get a black screen, and.. nothing else . The Wii completely locks up at that point. I can't go back to the home menu or even turn the system off (I had to pull the power plug on it). Tried this 4 times and I got the same result every time. Tried two other games in my collection and both of them worked fine, so it's definitely the AC+ disc.

Is this a known issue? I found someone else who reported a similar problem on Game FAQs but that's all I could find. Please don't tell me I have to send this back and wait another week to get a working copy. :(

I do have a PS2, yes. I probably should have just gotten the PS2 version, but I like the Wii classic controller and I figured better hardware=maybe better audio/video output? Welp it doesn't matter anyhow, Amazon will only let you exchange an item for the same thing, so I can't swap versions now without rebuying it.
