MemberIf you think Zero is too much then 2 is even more worse granted they're still optional but i bet Aksys will exploit them again just like they did for the 1st one.I can say that this game pros and cons are:
(-)Too many fanservices
(-)Mediocre and darker story
(-)Some characters are very annoying and slow development and i think many will find them unlikeable
(+)CG movies
(+)Great gameplay system
(+)Awesome voice acting
(+)The True route has more events featuring more interactions between characters from different generations
(+)Event Editor<--I love this its such a shame almost no one used this feature...
(+)Very improved sprite movement and variations for both allies and enemiesBasically it had what the first two games lacked but lacked what the first two games had, i still enjoyed it though and i'm willing to buy the NA version as well

MemberOnly memorable characters in that game were Jude and Georg for me... surprisingly.
Especially Georg's CG. That is all.
EDIT:
Aksys peeps, tell Idea Factory / Compile Heart that in the next Agarest game, they need to introduce Lenion and the light gods already and be the dark side so we can kick his ass seeing as the gods' story seems a lot more interesting than THE ENTIRE Agarest 2 story.

MemberI'm really grateful for Aksys for doing this. The only complain I will give beforehand is that they should really hold back a bit with a writing. It was rather annoying to see a character say one word like ''nani?'' and I see subtitles almost two sentences long. I know what they were trying to do and it's a quality writing of course, especially for parts where they would try to make a scene more enjoyable. But please tone it down. You're not gonna ruin the game if you use the simple translation sometimes...
Anyway, next year can't come soon enough.

Zero wasn't bad in the fan-service department. I don't recall ever feeling like "my god this is obnoxious", so there's that, for what it's worth.
I gotta say, a darker story is kind of nice, I don't know that I'd count that as a negative. I've actually enjoyed many of the characters and the stories in the first two games.
From what you're telling me, the main thing I've gotta look out for is annoying characters and overbearing fan-service. Looks like there's much that's improved upon, though, so I'm definitely super excited for this game. I just can't get enough of the combat system.
