I haven't heard anything or found anything on the internet that would suggest PS3 on Xbox 360 online action, but that would be so sweet. Anyone out there know anything? It's pretty much a guaranteed no right? Since there's no way for people on PSN and Xbox live to interact.

Yeah, you pretty much answered your own question. =\
just buy both like I did! you get an awesome gaming console(360), and a cheap Blu-Ray player(PS3).

I used to own both, sold the 360 though.
With the PS3 you've got a great console and great blu ray player. With the 360 you've got a great console you need to send back to Microsoft once a year.
Both consoles have the same games just about as almost all the best ones are exclusive titles. For FPS on the 360, you have Halo 3. PS3 you have Killzone 2 and the much superior version of the multiplatform title, Unreal Tournament 3(not counting PC.) All the good fighters are multiconsole except for Dead or Alive 4, though the superior version of Virtua Fighter is on 360. Racing, the 360 has Forza 2 and Test Drive Unlimited, and PS3 has Gran Turismo 5(because TDU is on PS2,) both are getting TDU2 later on(TDU is the best racing game hands down, so TDU2 shouldn't disappoint.)
Other than what's listed, 360 has Dead Rising which is the only game I miss owning. PS3 has Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, Siren: Blood Curse, Infamous, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma that I care about that aren't multiconsole.
So yeah. It doesn't matter what system you have, either or, they're the same as the other. It's just that one has more features that will probably show up on the PS3 later on(voice chat while playing a different game than the one their playing, or music while you're playing a game.)
The PSP and DS are both better than the PS3 and 360. Atleast in terms of games on the systems.

yes all those games are good for ps3.and I'd like to add is that the psp is really good too.And if you legally and officially customize it right, its like having an i-phone(with how many gigs you want on it)with better games, well graphically.you can call(with skype),put music and vids on it,go on the internet(if everywhere than wi-fi),and there continuously ading too it too. best three games i play for it are Sengoku Basara battle heroes,FF7 Crisis Core(yeah, play it over and over too),and obviously GGXXAC+.
psp is like a mini portable ps3.I kinda soley bought the ps3 cuz I wanted to make sure I'd be able to play blazblue if it didn't come out for 360.If it weren't for my friends on XBL I would have planned to buy it for ps3 too.But instead i got other games like naruto ultimate ninja storm, metal gear 4,motorstorm 2(fun,fun game),killzone, and the suprisingly sweet(even know i have it for original x-box)Ninja Gaiden Sigma.I play 360 more still. But i am very happy with my ps3,and I thought when i was gonna buy it,it was gonna be boring.
Oh yeah on the side. How many were completely astonished with the ff7 advent children complete blu ray edition.I got to say even watching it over and seeing ehat was added and changed around and stuff. It was AWESOME.they even made it were a newbie to ff or at least 7 could understand it too.
