Does anybody have any idea why Steins;Gate for 360 has never been localized? I just recently took a liking to the anime, and, well, it's good as hell; i'm horribly surprised that the game, which came out in 2009, has yet to be localized ? =/
out of curiosity...

Visual Novels are hard to sell over here, there isn't much of a market for them. I mean as much as I would love to see the market improve, there simply isn't a whole lot you can really do about it.

hmmmmmmm...makes sense, but....Steins;Gate is so damn good; it's still hard to believe. lol. Hopefully the rumored NA Phantom Breaker comes through. That should quench my S;G hype until I learn enough Japanese....in a few years, maybe? lol :3

I still don't see how S;G is so good xD I mean, it WAS good, but I HATE most of the characters. They're so awful D= Maybe they're less annoying in the novel though *shrugs*

- It has a metric buttload of text, which means lengthy (read: expensive) production.
- It would only appeal to a very small number of people.
- Home consoles are an even harder sell for visual novels than portables.
Additionally, the time to localize and the loss of excitement during that time should also be taken into account. People are stoked about Steins;Gate right now, but will that excitement persist for a year or two (not an unreasonable estimate for the time it would take to localize a game of this size), or will it be replaced by something else?Data, data, data. I cannot make bricks without clay.
Alles andere ist käse.
And in case there is any confusion, yes, I do work for Aksys. If you have a questions, or care to verify my identity, you can e-mail me by putting my username in front of @aksysgames.com.Posted 6 months ago # -

XD Other than Kyouma and Chris, they were just all so annoying to me. Except for... Moeka I think was her name? The one who wore glasses. But my main issue is you can't really develop a love for many of the characters, their stories and resolved in about one episode each, so even if they DID have redeeming characteristics, you never really get a chance to see them.
I love the plot, but I just get bothered by the characters, sorry *shrugs*
Edit: With that said, Kyouma is easily one of my favorite characters in the history of forever, he was literally the only reason I watched by the end I think lol

Japanese fans seem to agree that Steins;Gate is a knockout title on the 360, at least:
