Which guy do you think you'll go for first?

So, which guy from the game interests you the most? Which one do you think (or know)will be your favourite? The men whose path's your able to chose are Toshizo Hijikata, Souji Okita, Sanosuke Harada, Heisuke Todo, Hajime Saito, or Chikage Kazama.

Even just based on looks for now unless you've seen the anime. You can check out the website for some pictures I believe: http://www.hakuoki.com or the magazine style introductions that you can get to on Aksys main page.

Personally I think I'm going to go for Okita's frist, then Saito's. Then again I might want to go for Hijikata's good ending first, since the anime went for the bad one. Also, I've heard that Harada's good ending is the best, so I might save it for last.

Probably Hijikata, Saito, Kazama then the others :]
Kind of sad that Kazama's route is the shortest though...

Hijikata's is the longest, I'll do his last so I don't get burned out and end up just skipping through everyone else.

My fav. will be first. Sano~ <3

I really want to start with Harada's first because he is my favorite but I kind of want to save him for last. :( Oh well, I have till Feb. to think about it XD

Wait, do we need to do our homework before playing this game? I've personally been avoiding spoilers at all costs, but if this is one of those games that expects the player to already know the backstory (like the stories printed in game manuals back in the day), I may have to reverse my policy.

Homework is not required. Knowledge of the Shinsengumi and Edo-period Japan might increase your enjoyment, but they are by no means necessary.

Personally Heisuke is my favorite and i really like him; when i watched the anime he was always the most appealing to me lol. So ill go for him first following with Okita, Saito, and so forth^___^

I started playing without any background knowledge on Hakuoki and just let the story unfold. Eventually I know that I wanted to go through Saitou's route first 8D

I knew nothing about this game, and when I started playing, I ended up with the Normal ending, but then learned that if I had unlocked two other characters, I would have ended up with Kazama. I find it funny that Hijikata and Kazama are both my favorites, since they are rivals:)
