Is Fate/EXTRA doing well, Aksys? I'm not asking for explicit sales numbers, because I'm sure you can't give those out, but I would just like to know anything that can be told to the public.
I am a huge TYPE-MOON fan and would love to see more of their works translated, so I bought 5 copies, but I can't speak for anyone else. Every store I went to said they had never even heard of the game, I was able to get one copy from the Gamestop site, one shrinkwrapped copy from a close location...
Every other Gamestop I visited only had one copy, limited or otherwise. The single copy would be, opened, price stickers on the box (opened, empty on the shelf) and the game and artbook were kept RUBBER-BANDED TOGETHER in a drawer without any protection.
Considering that not even a friend of mine, a large anime/VN/whatnot fan who is a manager of a local Gamestop, had never even heard of the game until I mentioned it, my hopes for any possible (potential) CCC localization have been entirely dashed. I want to support this title as much as I can. I really wouldn't have spent $250 here if CCC weren't announced, though I probably would've still bought two copies.
I just want to express my extreme interest and support for the entirety of the FATE franchise (with the exception of that horrible DEEN-animated television adaptation, /cringe)- I'd love to see more TYPE-MOON works officially sold in North America.
Also, I feel that I must note this at the end here, because the internet is just such a hostile place... This is not a bragging post. This is not an epeen post. This is me expressing my support for Aksys and their localization of Fate/EXTRA, and if you're reading more in to it, you're projecting.
