OMG! GameStop just screwed me over. As I was checking my gamestop account to check my BB reserve I noticed it was still verifying so, a bit worried as all my friends seemed fine for shipping, I checked online and did a bit of research to find out that I need to verify by confirming the billing address. I talk to the gamestop people at the number they game me and they said I just need to change the address and I'm all good, so I change it by mailing them back with the way they wanted in the e-mail. 2 minutes later I get a confirmation e-mail saying they will respond in 24 hours and to check my account. I refresh the account page and BOOM its canceled. I think you know how I felt after seeing this. So I talk to the game stop people again and they said even though I sent the e-mail its was closing time for them and I argued that I had 48 hours, He said the "48 hours" was over for them. I mean, its the 30th, the day it shipped out and it hasn't been even 24 hours. Now I'm just wondering if you Aksys guys can help me out here and sent me a art book maybe? I took a screen shot and saved out the web page where it says canceled. This is just a plea but if you can't I guess I just have to suck it up and take another life lesson the hard way. I'm sending an e-mail to your support people with the screen cap. This was all at like 6:50 pm central time to 7:10. Guess they "close" at 7.

That's Gamestop for you! Same thing happened to me when I pre-ordered Moon, but I just moved on (along with my money). So, lesson learned.
But, you're worried about the artbook? I read another post here that someone mentioned that there were plenty left, so maybe you should just wait it out first. I mean, they can't keep all the remaining artbooks to themselves once the deadline has been reached, can they?

The guy I talked to today at gamestop when buying BlazBlue said that they may be getting some artbooks. I wonder if he's an idiot.
No, I don't want to touch it.Posted 8 months ago # -

Why do people think Gamestop is some kind of magical place where every employee knows everything about every game? Half the employees of Gamestops don't even play games outside of Minesweeper, and yet you expect them to drop everything and know about the exact specifics of an artbook they weren't even supposed to have in the store?
Recently, a lot of Atlus games have shipped with artbooks inside the larger game case, so when the employee sees this large case they're going to assume it's got an artbook in it, especially when some angry customer storms in wanting to know if there's an artbook when the employee doesn't even know one exists.
In b4 somebody tells me that all Gamestop employees should know everything about every game ever because they don't know how reality actually works.

There not so pose to know about "every" game its not like I expect them to know all the secrets to super mario world or some stupid thing like that. But as an employee your goal is to be able to inform the customer about the product that they are buying so they the customer is satisfied. When I Pre-ordered my BB game I asked the guy. dose this come with the artbook. he replied "Yes,its the limited ED one" I was like kool so you guys are the only store getting the artbook right? he reply's "yes" instead of maybe asking another employee or checking if that was right information he simply said yes to what I ask. In then end I didn't get my book form them and I didnt blow up and get mad I was more upset and sad about it. I was lucky enough that one gamestop employee felt really bad about it and was really kind to me. Gamestop is a workplace they are so pose to act like professional and be able to inform us clearly Just like I have to do when I work at Petco.

Firstly, I think some people either need to use spell check, at least preview their posts before posting.
Secondly, (this is for everyone else) let us all get something very straight here. Gamestop emplyee's don't always know everything about every game, that's true, but Gen Eric Gui just said what he said about people who work there. Thanks, Gen! :D By the way, your Street Fighter character sucks! This is how it works; they get information in on a game slowly but surely on their systems (chances are that the information they receive on their system is the same info. you can get on gamestop.com). They don't just automatically know everything about a game just because they work there. For instance, they sometimes don't get information about Special Editions of games until maybe a month or two before the game comes out, but they may receive information that there simply will be a special edition many months before. I.E.; I go into G.S. in May and ask about the release date of Modern Warfare 2. The guy looks it up, then tells me what it is, then I ask about a special edition. He looks it up, and simply says "There IS going to be a special edition of some sort, but it doesn't show pricing or content details, but there WILL be one, just keep checking back, we'll get information on it soon. If you end up reserving the game, you can reserve the regular edition now, and when you find out what's in the special edition you can switch the reserve over if you think it'll be worth it". There ya go.
Thirdly, (this is for Unarmed) Gamestop never got any art books for BB in-store, as far as I know they were all available only online. I don't think that going in-store to get this resolved will help at all. What you should do is call their HQ or some sort of corporate number and get it resolved with some higher-ups. It sucks, man, and I feel you. To risk reserving something online instead of in-store to get an extra insentive, yet have that whole reason to reserve it online not be available to you is just bogus, especially since most of the people I know who have the game either reserved it in store or just picked it up after release. That means they should have had plenty left to ship you, so you should definitely get it resolved with some higher-ups. Good luck.

I go to EB Games to buy games and preorder them as well, but I never do any of that on their website, instead,I go directly to the store itself. And I always pick up my preorders on time, for example: back on April the 1st, I preordered Batman:Arkham Asylum Collecters Edition for the PS3 and its release date is August the 25th(it is really the shipping date) so I will be going to pick it up on the 26th.
