I still waiting for my preorder to come in which won't be till like next week >.> So im sitting here patiently waiting for the game. I wanted to make a playthrough and put it on youtube when I get it because i haven't seen any video posts for the game yet and people need to see this game! Have you guys gotten your copies and started playing yet? If so who are you going after first and how is the game by the way?^____^

The game is good! Actually the prologue is pretty much like the beginning of the anime so it's kind of refreshing for me haha. I'm going trying to get Hijikata but I'll probably go with whoever I end up getting. I've only raised Saito's affection so far haha.

Thats awesome! :D The anime was great by the way but a lil sad :/ And well i want Heisuke but i guess whoever I end up getting the highest affection with ill take :P

I was planning to do Souji's route first, but I accidentally ended up on Hajime's route instead. XD So I'm going to finish his before going after Souji. Hajime is my second favorite though, so I have no complaints about that.
I'm having such a good time playing this game- I love it!
Shinpachi has a little mini-route in the fandisc, so if this does well enough maybe we'll be able to get the fandisc too! It's a platonic route, so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for... But at least it's something, right? I kinda wish they had given him a romantic route in the fandisc, but I like the choices we do have.
I pre-ordered from amazon.com way back in October of last year as soon as they allowed pre-orders so when I found out my LE copy was delayed by a whole week I was wicked mad. Not at aksys of course, at amazon. Luckily I was able to find an LE copy around town. So I just bought that and cancelled my pre-order.
But as for your REAL question! I figured I'd leave it to chance the first playthrough and I got Heisuke's route. I was pleased. He's a cutie-face and his story was fun. Now I'm on to Hijikata apparently. So far, not as fluffy and wonderful as Heisuke BUT I think his character just has a harder exterior to crack. Maybe he'll be just as cute as Heisuke once you get past that.

Jealous of you people in the states. I per-ordered from Amazon ca and they changed there date from the 15th to the 22nd. Gamestop has the date for it as the 23rd. I hate them both.
So, Aksys put the game on PSN, and I couldn't resist. So I bought online and I'm also still getting the limited edition cause I want the art book. Ugh, my wallet is really taking a hit this month. Totally worth it though.
I just finished my 1st play through and I went for Okita. I wasn't entirely sure who I was going to go for cause I love them all...except maybe Heisuke a bit less. But then I raised his affection in the first chapter, so I decided I minds well go for him. I have all his CG's, including the bad ends, but one the I missed at the beginning. I've seen it online so I know what one it is, the one where he's lying down.
I've already restarted it and I'm going for Saito this time. Oh and did I mention I love it! Not surprising since I knew about it before it was even announced for an anime, much less a translation.

I know that the Vita's expensive and all, but why get a PSP now if it's dying in the US? Since there are still games being made for it in Japan, won't the ones that are localized all be available on the PSN for the Vita?
I would love to get a psp to be able to play this game (and get the artbook from the LE). I wouldn't want to buy the Vita if it's possible that future localizations may only be available for the PSP (is that right?)

Got my game on tuesday love the story and as expected Saito Hajime owns my heart. His route was awsome though Okita has now got competion for second, Hijikata grew on me. The only thing I don't like is what they ended up calling everyone who drank the ochimizu or water of life if you prefer. But still worth it.

I've had the game for a little over a week now. I started with Heisuke's route and he won me over first, but Sanosuke came in a close second for me. I just finished Okita's route today, but he didn't exactly grow on me as much as Heisuke & Sanosuke did. I'll eventually do Hijikata & Saito's route partially for completion's sake, but I'll probably do Kazama last. Mostly because I can't help but feel like I'd be betraying the Shinsengumi if I followed his route. >.>
