As I've said in a previous post in another topic some time ago, I'm curious about the reasons as to what compels a person to buy the CE/LE of a game.

I sometimes have to wonder what compels a person to buy the LE of a game nyaa. Is it because of the extra goodies? Is it to support the company you like? Is it to add another piece to ones collection? As the Blazblue CS plot likes to say/promote, their are many possibilities.
With some of the recent posts as of late, I'm simply curious as to why. Often, the contents of the CE/LE are announced/leaked weeks to months before the games release. In turn, people are often excited over the idea of having a "Edition" that not many can get a hold of. As a corollary, people are also often disappointed at the contents of the special "Edition."
The main difference between the LE/CE and the standard edition is that the LE/CE simply have additional items/content. In regards to content, such as DLC, the LE/CE buyers may simply either have exclusive access to content that the people who bought the standard edition won't have access to, or early access to content that those who bought the standard edition will simply have to wait until the DLC is made available. Some standard and LE may or may not have equal pre-order bonuses, but as I said earlier, the main difference is in the addition items (artbooks, soundtracks, etc..)
So my question to everyone is... why do you buy CE/LEs?
