Dear Aksys Games,
Congratulations on releasing a high quality multi-platform fighting game. It is exciting that your great fighting game has received great reviews. Especially when it come to online gameplay. However, it has become very difficult to obtain a copy of this game because of the limits of the game being console only.
That is why I am suggesting that you release the game for PC, similar to what Capcom has now done with Street Fighter 4, over Steam or a similar online distribution service. This would improve the online gameplay by increasing the pool of gamers.
At the same time, releasing BlazBlue via internet would also eliminate the price gouging that is occurring right now on Amazon.com and similar websites. Street Fighter 4 PC has been successful in generating revenue for Capcom. It continues to be one of the top 10 games sold on Steam and will probably continue to top the charts.
I understand that the major concern for releasing games online is piracy, but you should feel confident about the genre of the game. Fighting games are about competing with other people online. If you can control who is able to play online, then you can assure that a majority of players will purchase the game. Capcom has successfully curbed piracy by using Xbox Live and Steam to prevent pirated games from being able to be played online. Unless binded by contract, there is no reason BlazBlue cannot do the same.
Finally, I cannot help but think that BlazBlue's main fan base relies lies on PC communities like dustloop.com. These fans, like myself, have loyally followed the Guilty Gear series since its PSOne days and have been lusting after some sort of online game play. If BlazBlue is successful on PC, then you may be able to bring the Guilty Gear franchise online as well along with patches and updates(similar to Fallout 3 or SF4).
Overall, please consider supporting the PC community by releasing BlazBlue onto the PC in the upcoming year. You will only solidify your fan base and add more fans.
