Is there any chance that there will be a limited edition?
I love the soundtrack of the game, and I would also want to have the hints and tips videos.
I only have a 360,which is region locked.
I've been considering selling my 360 for a while, not specifically for Blazblue, but I am not sure whether to wait and see if Blazblue comes to Europe to see if there is a limited edition,or sell my 360 right away so I could quickly import a PS3 limited edition copy.
Is there any chance of a limited edition if and when Blazblue comes to Europe?
Or was the whole limited edition thing a one-off in the first place?
If Blazblue comes to Europe.....

Well, IF Blazblue will come in Europe, it will be from the hand of 505 games, that, as I have said many times, it's one of the worst existing videogame game company.
So, from they hand, we will not see a limited edition, not even a decent booklet!
But selling a 360 just for the soundtrack is stupid.
Buy the normal version of the game, and take the soundtrack separately. I don't really see the problem. You should find it on ebay, play asia or this kind of sites..Posted 2 years ago # -
I've heard about how bad 505 Games are.
Majesco Entertainment published Guilty Gear Judgement/Guilty Gear XX Midnight Carnival #Reload, they could do it.
Hell,it could be that any company that publishes it,even though it's unlikely,a company like Square Enix could publish it for all we know.To buy the soundtrack seperate costs a lot,28 pounds on Play.com here,on top of the games price, plus I would have to buy a stick for the 360(I think you know just how -your mother is a classy lady- the 360's controller is)that would cost around one hundred pounds.
Whereas the PS3's D-pad is just fine.
That's why I'm condsidering getting a PS3,as getting it for the 360 would mean buying a stick, which I really don't want to do,I'd have to wait for a couple of months to a year for the 360 version anyway.
Plus I'm new to the series,so the bonus DVD would help a lot.I'm strangely in love with the soundtrack of Blazblue,so it's pretty important to me.

Do you want to leave the 360 now that Guilty gear overture is finally coming?
nha, for me selling the 360 and buy then a ps3 it's too complicated. actually, the 360 is the better console as number of games and online. if sell it now you could regret it....
Anyway, I suggest you to wait a little: maybe the soundtrack will be sold separately in the future, who knows...Posted 2 years ago # -

I can at least respect that, but they have poor quality handling, you say?

I currently have Guilty Gear PSP to hold me over for now.
Play.com have it slated for an October release, but it's probably just made up,as a publishing house hasn't even been chosen yet,nor are there any rumoured plans to hire a publisher.
Guilty Gear Overture is coming to Europe TWO YEARS after its release.
How long have american gamers had it for?
I want to get it for the 360,but it could potentially take years to come to Europe.
I am now a massive fan of this series and Arc System Works, and that is simply too long to wait.505 games don't exactly publish well known games, they aren't the best publishing house either.
I really hope that 505 games DO NOT end up publishing it.
We'll probably have a 3 page non-colour manuel.....
The hopes of a limited edition go up in smoke as well.Posted 2 years ago # -
About the 505... i really appreciate they are taking out Japanese games, and for their work but...
The problem is that gaming is not considered in Europe as a potential mass medium as it is.
This is absurd (and typical European), to ignore a phenomena like this and other, even considering how much a market like this is growing.
I mean, games like GG overture and blazblue are really expected from the fans, and they have great selling potential; but as likes the 90% of the games, they comes late or (more frequently) never.
Why? because games company are stupid.
Now, 505 games takes great games and great titles, but what? they make them not selling by
,Letting nobody knows (except maybe their parents) their games has come out(except for the shovelware),and working badly on it, removing usually their good option (like online), or making the games come out just broken or unplayable.
Oh, about play.com...yeah, they are just a onlne shop but... the release date of GG overture (and not only) was here MONTHS before the official press release...I think it's trustful!-

WHAT!!!
PUBLISHING HOUSES HAVE THE ABILITY TO REMOVE CONTENT FROM THE GAME!!!!
WHAT A LOAD OF ******* -your mother is a classy lady-!!!
THE DEVELOPERS PUT CONTENT IN AND THE PUBLISHERS HAVE THE ABILITY TO TAKE IT OUT!!!??How?How can they just take content out?
Do they inform the developers they are taking out content?Do Arc System Works just accept this?
I knew publishers had the ability to tweak content, like translating languages, and creating the games packaging(manuels etc),but I had no idea they have the ability to fully remove content.I don't fully understand the process, but can't they just change it so it can play on 360's from different regions and be done with it?
Why do they feel the need to remove important content?
It's like being told to give a present to somebody, but beating it with a sledge hammer before you give it to them....what a bunch of sleezy gits.
Jeez,I hope 505 Games go into liqidation and blow up in a nuclear-esque explosion.Arc System Works must pay 505 Games good money to publish their games, that's how publishers get their income is it not?As well as the money they get off actual sales, but with the job 505 games do,the games must not sell very well,so they must get the vast majority of their money from the developer.(Correct me if I'm wrong)
It must be easy pickings for 505 Games, take the developers money, spend as little money and put as little effort into the game as possible(making it -your mother is a classy lady-)and.....PROFIT!!!
(I don't know if that's how the whole process works between developers and publishers)I don't think 505 Games are doing it out of the goodness of their heart.
Why can't they just get another publisher, like Square Enix or Majesco Entertainment?Do the games 505 have released get patched? To fix them I mean.

I am a European gamer and decided not to wait for a European release. I have imported it from an online shop.
In this day and age, seperating release dates by this much is absurd. Everyone who wants to play this game and has the means will have the title imported. For those who cannot find an online retailer willing to ship to Europea, try local game stores. Small ones, not part of a big chain. They will usually import titles.
All the online game media have already covered BlazBlue. Even eurogamer.net reviewed the game on US/JPN console release. Game websites have an international target audience and will not delay their reviews. So every gamer who hasn't heard about this game and is interested, but then is unable to find the game in the stores will be discouraged.
People who come here to post are the exception. We are excited enough about this game to motivate us to post here and search online for a release date or retailer. Most gamers will not.
BlazBlue is losing the European market entirely by this poor distribution. When it will now be release:
1. All motivated BlazBlue gamers have already imported it
2. All the other potential buyers have forgotten all about this game since the media covered it 3 months ago.Why wasn't it released in Europe right away? Because it is a risky market? That may be the assumption, but in reality that is not the case. It is simply very poor marketing where you have lost most of your potential customers.

#Blazing_Blues:
"Arc System Works must pay 505 Games good money to publish their games, that's how publishers get their income is it not?"I have to contradict you: it's the opposite!!!
It's the European publisher that pays for the rights for selling the game.#harlekein
I feel like you.
It's really frustrating.
But you know...I also have the desire to play with my friends or in a continental online, so it's obvious to me buy an EU xbox360, instead of an US one.
About the region free, it has in theory its sense: you buy the game from your country.
But, as we have seen, if the game do not comes, it has no sense.
The only solution will be simultaneous release, like the one of Blazablue or Brutal legend (dated everywhere for 16 rockoctober).
Still, the problem remains, and Europe is not helping it: gaming remains over Europe, not only as phenomenon but also as a work and as an art: in Italy, future games designer, programmer etc is emigrating in America (as well as like scientist, researcher and so on, but this is another story); france is a different story, with Ubisoft on his way, but the rest is desolating.Posted 2 years ago # -
Why does 505 Games even bother?
From the amount of sales they get publishing these japanese titles,it's not even worth it.
All they get is the ability to say,"We published these titles".Posted 2 years ago # -
harlekein (Everyone who wants to play this game and has the means will have the title imported)
Yeah except that xbox 360 players can't import the game as it's REGION LOCKED !
And this upset me to a point I couldn't have imagine...Posted 2 years ago # -
Exactly,most 360 owners don't even have a PS3.
So 360 owners who don't live in America or Japan and want this games.....well,they're scuppered.
Me included.Posted 2 years ago # -
I don't know, but at this moment in time, there is as much chance of Blazblue coming to Europe as there is a chance of this websites shop selling stuff to Europe.
Pretty much,zero.Posted 2 years ago # -
I imported this game from USA it costed me 70 EUR T.T (PS3)
Its worth every damn penny its best fighting game I ever played and even though I'm in EU, Online has no lag when fighting people across the globe.

Bull! New characters, my ass. You realize how that would completely DESTROY the online community? European players will be unable to use their fancy pantsy new characters online if playing anyone in the US/Japan, it would require FAR too much work to make non-clones and hand-draw all of those sprites, PLUS it would mean more work for making more Story modes, Arcade modes, and even more tweaks to the balance system that could send Carl plummetting back to bottom-tier.
In short, those "new features" seem more like a sequel than Europe getting the better deal.
