It’s just been announced that publisher PQube will be bringing Arc System Works developed title BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger to the European regions in 2010. Why so late to the party? It’s got new stuff added for extra deliciousness!The European version of the title will be fully localized into English, German, French, Italian and Spanish and promises to include additional content in the standard edition such as:
* Character strategy guide,
* Music soundtrack,
* New gameplay content not available anywhere, like new characters and moves.
Hailed as the ‘game that every self-respecting console fighting fan should play’ BlazBlue scored pretty well upon its release back in June.
This release also marks the beginning of a new partnership between PQube and Zen United. Dave Pain, from PQube, said “The long running 2D fighting genre has seen a welcome boost in 2009 with updated versions of several franchises brought to Next Gen PS3 and 360 consoles” and Tomo Ohno, Head of Zen United, reported “BlazBlue reached number 1 in the Japanese arcades and already sales of the Japanese and US console versions have beaten forecasts”.
My take? Sure it sounds pretty far away but remember we are nearly half way through August! And with the promise of new characters, one of the major criticisms the title faced was its lack of that very same thing, means it’s a good enough reason to postpone picking this up until an official release hits!
