It's in this week's Famitsu. It's for PS3, and XBox360. That's all I know so far. There aren't any scans of it out yet.

Correction, it's for Arcades. Here's the only part of the article that's out so far.

Actually, if NeoGAF made mention that it was for PS3 and X360, then it should be.
So far the only scans we have are release dates, upcoming titles and a pic of Tsubaki.DORAGON INSTOOOOOOOOHHHHRU~Posted 2 years ago # -
It seems more an improved version that a sequel.
I think this is the so called "new version" that will be selled in europe...Posted 2 years ago # -
Fantastic. If BlazBlue vanilla isn't released for PC by the time Continuum gets around to making the rounds on the consoles in whatever form, perhaps Continuum shift can make the PC release? Either way, I'm excited about the idea of playing it.

idk all of this seems a little unfair. I mean really? if the EU going to get the game before we do in the states its going to be a kick in the nuts. what i will paste below is what I read read and it seems like there is new story to it as well not just the new characters.......
--------->
"Arc System Works announced in this week's issue of Famitsu magazine that a follow-up to BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, the 2D fighting game released by Aksys Games this summer on US home consoles, is in the works. Titled BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, the new game is set to debut in Japanese arcades this winter.
Continuum Shift, while termed a "sequel" by Arc System Works, seems more like a follow-up in the style of the assorted updates and tweaks the company's Guilty Gear X game received for many years after its release. The title will feature new moves and rebalanced controls for all of the old cast, and two new characters are set to make their debut -- including Tsubaki Yayoi, a serious-looking female fighter decked out in military robes. "We're emphasizing ease of use in balancing her," producer Toshimichi Mori told Famitsu. "A lot of her moves hit on multiple levels, and I think she'll be easy to use for beginners."
If you happen to be in Tokyo for TGS right now, a location test for Continuum Shift will be taking place at the Hey arcade in Akihabara beginning this Saturday. "We're developing this game for fighting game fans -- not beginners, not advanced players, but fighting game fans -- to enjoy playing each other in," Mori said. "The story really gets into the core of the game, and it's fully voiced, of course, so I hope everyone's looking forward to it.""

Two new characters, huh? Very nice. Still, I'm hoping the console release will be paid DLC. I didn't buy the addons to GGXX until Accent Core, because it didn't really feel like a new game till then.

You've been playing BB from some time, we Europeans will start only in 2010.
i think that this edition will also come in the same period (or a little later) in the USA; simply, we will have just the "plus" version to buy.Posted 2 years ago # -
Indeed, the normal version of BlazBlue isn't sold in Europe. So them getting the next one first seems pretty fair to me.

I actually prefer the new portraits, they look more Guilty Gear-ish. I especially like the new look for Carl's portrait.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Indeed, Carl's looking a lot better. I have to wonder if they're changing Tao's character design, or if it's just an angle and art direction for the portrait.
I'm rather anxious for this game, now. Particularly with Hazama playable.

No, it's not. But I like Guilty Gear's art.
Honestly, I saw concept sketches of Ragna and Jin done by Ishiwatari, and I wish he had been the artist for the game. They looked AMAZING.
You did? where? I would like to see Daiskue's concept sketches of them.
