   The supposed release date of this game is November 9th, as most sources commonly indicate, yet with the date in question closely approaching, no official sources on the Aksys site have verified that it will be coming on the PSN as expected.

   There's several reasons to doubt the established date.
   -First off, the NA PSN updates on Thursdays. The 9th is a Monday. So that's not going to happen. Therefore, it's to be assumed that it's release date will be close to or not on the 9th (So, either tomorrow [lol, no], or on the 12th). The podcast from August 6th states this release date, but there is no reason to believe that it will be done, the November 9th release date is unrealistic.
   -The official information relating to it's release (though it's probably outdated, since it's from August) states that it will be released "This Fall". However, there's been no concrete date, much less a general concept of when it will be released.
   -The game still has yet to receive (as far as viewers could know) an E.S.R.B. rating. Meaning that, more likely than not, it's probably not coming out tomorrow, much less the 12th. TYPICALLY (though I'm aware Aksys is unconventional), that information is publicized 2-3 weeks before the games release, usually earlier.
   -The official site of the game has nothing but a picture of one of the characters awkwardly fondling a grilled sausage, and a large "Coming Soon" (but when?) banner at the bottom.

   All we've gotten, as far as solid answers go, is a bunch of loose fan service and appeal for the game, as opposed to any concrete information that reinforces the scraps that have been provided. While it would be excellent to have an official representative post news to disambiguate the game's current status, I'd seek to speculate with my peers about when we may actually see this title hit the virtual shelves.

   Excellent post! I too have my doubts that this will be released on 11/09, and the reasons you gave pretty much sum up my own. I really wish that you are wrong and Aksys can release this on Monday, or at the latest on Thursday of that week when the PSN updates, but it is becoming to commonplace for SRPGs to become delayed (cough Vandal Hearts: FoJ cough). I am really looking forward to this game, and I hope Aksys will prove us both wrong and come through.

   Yeah man, you and me both. I want to see this game as much as the next person.

   So I did my homework, and listened to the podcast, where, regardless of the date posted in the corresponding article, the speakers in it say that the game will come out "Sometime in November". Although, there still isn't much reason to believe that will happen, although if it does, given the current presented status of things, I'm sure they'd be pushing the line pretty damn close.

   We really do just need a concrete statement and news. Already, much of the niche market has opted to purchase a hard copy version of the EU release, and with these fallacious delays coming up, it seems that the success of this release might be compromised. After all, as Akasys claims and performs, they're a company for the fans. But seriously, this uncertainty is killing the hype.

   True. On the other hand I found a slew of games they haven't announced yet.
   I'm practically excited that they're (supposedly) bringing a certain "animal" game with "puzzles"! ;)

   At the moment, all I can tell you is that Agarest War will not be out on the 9th of November. More information will be available presently, but I am not in a position to disseminate it at this time.
   I'm really sorry there haven't been any updates since our initial announcement, but things have been kind of busy around here (even if it doesn't look that way from the outside). I can assure you that we are quite hard at work on Agarest, and it will be coming out, but not on November 9th.

   darn it this is the game im waiting the most, maybe will be the best game for me of the year T_T i at least hope is released this year... i had my hopes up.
   But well i dont know how are the stuff there and it must be busy but darn it i was so hyped up

   (i hope is not related to censor stuff in agarest war right?, we will get the full 100% of the game like everyone else got, could you at least confirm this to me?)

   Sorry, but all I can tell you for now is that the game has been pushed back to 2010. There should be an official announcement, with much more information, soon.

   That's good to know though. As long as the information related has been demystified.

   It's certainly unfortunate, but what can you do right? I would ask though, is there anything in the NA release that distinguishes it from it's EU counterpart? The reason I ask is because, given that the game is already out and available in English, there should be some sort of reason not to jump ship and order it overseas right away. Alternatively, will this be announced later?

   Good luck with things nonetheless.

    Sorry, Amazon UK says the game is out *right now* in Europe. Checking on the voice-acting to make sure if the original Japanese language is on there(I don't buy dubs), and if it is, I can't see any reason not to get that version. Unless you guys release some info *post haste*, I should actually have this game by next week. On disc, not a stupid download that takes up pointless room on my hard drive.

    So, any real reasons not to get Ghostlight's version, other than you want me to send you money instead? I mean, I already have the Japanese version on BD. I never intend to buy it as a download, so unless you've changed your plans to release it in disc format...

    Oh, and look, what else do I see? Battle Fantasia on disc in the UK as well? Sorry, folks...

    So the American version is going to be better than the European version? I did some research on the game. There's a 360 version that's apparently superior to the PS3 version. Apparently, the 360 version has better graphics, more voice acting, more items, and an extra dungeon. Maybe they dropped the PS3 version and decided to do the 360 one.

    I'd be tempted to get a version with those improvements 1) On the PS3, 2) On disc, not download, and 3) If it came with a nice, 48-page hardcover color artbook like the UK version.

    As it stands, I just placed my order for the UK version. I could still get the US release as well(hell, why not three versions if I've already got two?), but the reasons why had better be compelling.

    I hope they are going to actually release a version with a hard copy of the game instead of a DLC... because it will be like 6 GB or so the download will take days or weeks and I'm not even sure if we can even stop it midpoint and continue later.

    I hope that they also give like a hardcover art book or extra goodies for this game like the Euro ver. And the details for the announcement, for the push back, is not announced yet.

    Spring, eh? Bit of a wait, but that gives the people the who imported already some leeway to play it again.

    Retail for 360 for now? I can work with that. Now, all I need is a (North American) 360!

    But yeah, people who imported it did so either to play it early or have a physical copy, even more so if they got Ghostlight's collector's edition. More power to them. But I digress.

    ...You had to let us know now, Aksys?

    I just imported it and everything. Could have saved me some money. Oh well. I will pick up the 360 version regardless, as long as its a retail package.
