Since Aksys is publishing Record of Agarest War on the PS3 and 360, I like to see them step it up and publish a higher budget RPG game for the latest consoles. Personally, I think the RPG and Visual Novel genres are Aksys's best forte thanks to their great script editing and game testing (argh...NISA). What do you guys think?
What genre do you think Aksys should publish more of?

I agree. I'm a huge fan of Visual Novels and Shm'ups. I love to see them invest more time with them. I understand these genres are not so popular but it's my belief that
it's because no one believes in them. They need to be put out there. FPS weren't that
hot when they first came out that's for sure. They need some tlc and I think the fans will come around.Posted 2 years ago # -
I'm a huge fan of RPGs, visual novels, and combinations thereof. Any game like Agarest War and Ar Tonelico is an instant buy for me.

Kunio-kun!
Well, I really loved Theresia. VNs are cool, and I know Aksys is crazy like a fox! But, would be a stretch to see something like the PS2 version of KiraKira published?

Not that title specifically, but the PS2 had loads of these games that went unnoticed in the West. Just... break it in there, ugh-ugh!I don't know what RPGs, Shmups and action games are coming out that would ideal for Aksys. Any else know specifically what titles are coming out in Japan? Most of the notable ones are being picked up by other publishers that already have connections to developers, it seems.
Well, at the very least, I'd REALLY love to see this come Stateside:

No way would a 'real' visual novel sell outside of Japan. Hirameki tried it and failed, other companies do 18+ games and never become huge successes... the market just isn't there.
Shmups on the other hand, if Aksys went for all the unreleased 360 shmups (especially from Cave) or PSP/Wii ones there's probably a good audience for those.
Plus the random game here or there ;)

Believe me Matty, if that game existed, I would be leading the charge to bring it over.
Data, data, data. I cannot make bricks without clay.
Alles andere ist käse.
And in case there is any confusion, yes, I do work for Aksys. If you have a questions, or care to verify my identity, you can e-mail me by putting my username in front of @aksysgames.com.Posted 2 years ago # -

^Yes, sadly....
I even told them about it when I first stumbled on it. Jokes on me! That's how dense I am, that little "april" didn't even tip me off. I didn't know Japan celebrated April Fools!BUT, on their survey page where they have a "I want to make your Kiraku Series...", a dating sim (and a 2D fighter, billards, RPG, Shooting, etc) were part of the options, so maybe there's still a chance?

Unless this is a joke, too. They're playing with my emotions!
