Sadly, the current trend seems to be charging the exact same as a physical copy, for a digital copy.
The idea being is what you lose in tangibility, you gain in indestructibility. A DVD can break and must be re-purchased. A file can go corrupt, but can simply be redownloaded.Posted 2 years ago # -
So is it Aksys or SCEA that's screwing over PS3 users? Someone said something in another thread about it being SCEA because they didn't accept Japanese only audio games but since I heard Yakuza 3 is in all Japanese I doubt it.
I was somewhat looking forward to this game when I first heard about it but sadly since I am one of the people who highly prefer a physical copy if its anymore than $30 for the regular edition ill have to pass on this. The soundtrack would be awesome but I have no need for the pillow case or mouse pad lol.

Well if you talk about games yet to be released, you can say all you want, but there isnt any ps3 game released with just japanese audio until date.
Also remember, that SCEA japanese auido stuff is also a rumor, there may be another causeYou only have eyes for that blue!, for that blue sky!

Just a quick question from an EU fan. Will the 360 version be region locked? Since no publisher seems to want the 360 version after the PS3 did badly, this is my last hope without buying a new console just for that game :PSo, region free? Please?
I would also LOVE for it to be regionfree because of this reason. I'm not really up to getting a PS3 and either get it on DLC or the "incomplete" european version (with no naughty edition). I know you haven't made it before but I would love you forever if you started now (this also goes for Deathsmiles).

Old game + Japanese track from small publisher = SCEA denial
New sequel (Yakuza 3) + Japanese track from Sega = SCEA love,
Just a guess...Neil Hamburger(Il buono): Why did God send Terri Schiavo to hell? For the sin of sloth.
D.Plainview(Il brutto): I have a competition in me. I want no one else to succeed. I hate most people.
Kakizaki(Il cattivo): [Edit] That's what I do when I feel threatened, because God gave me a baby penis.Posted 2 years ago # -

I SAW A AGAREST WAR'S pillow! in the aksys's anti piracy video parody xD, omg that MAY be a hint =O (though dont quote me lol), lucky 360 owners, with phisical stuff >->, i still wait for a nice surprise from aksys for ps3 usersI was sad to discover that the parody video is no longer available (it's been made private).

The theory is that it's SCEA's fault.

The trouble is, even if they made it region free, it'll be damn hard finding a place that will ship outside of the USA. Amazon actively state on most games (including region free PS3 games) that they will not ship outside of North America! I would love to get my hands on this special edition here in England, but i wont be able to play it and there wont be anywhere that will ship it to this country!
In summary, I hope Aksys release this Really Naughty Edition in as many countries as possible! :D

Try NCSX or Play-asia. They usually stock NA stuff as well as their other offerings.
Posted 2 years ago # -
It's easy for us Americans to import. Europeans have virtually no way to do it though.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Don't NCSX & Play Asia do international though? They are decent options IMO.
Posted 2 years ago # -
PlayAsia doesn't ship to Europe. I don't think NCSX does either, as they are based in New York.

Um, apparently from what I read, play-asia does ship to europe but can not ship psp/ps3 games to europe. From what I can tell, NCSX does ship to europe w/no restrictions.
edit: NCSX says in their policy that they ship to europe

i believe a few years ago sony threw a fit about liksang selling ps3's in europe.
correct me if im wrong but i believe that sony is blocking said importsPosted 2 years ago # -
In this thread, I think effectively sums up play-asia's stance:

Ah, SCEA really likes to be a pain in the ass.

SCEA makes me sad sometimes.

For any UK/EU people thinging of purchasing this, Gamestop have got pre-orders up and they only charge $15 shipping to the UK which is brilliant.I think i'm gonna get this even if it won't play on my 360.I love getting collector editions.
