This fight is not yet lost as many have already accepted it. SCEA has said no to the devs. But fact is we mean a lot more to them then the devs do. If enough of us speak up and call them maybe we can make some leverage for Aksys.

How bout starting a petition instead. Get a lot of signatures signing saying that ppl won't buy the game unless it comes out on blu-ray & then show SCEA the petition. Or you can do a combination of the email/phone spam + this.
(I don't care that much anymore, since I'm still buying it regardless).

Belisarius already made it pretty clear that a boycott wouldn't help much here. I get the impression that Aksys wants to be able to demonstrate a significant market demand for a prior product in the event that this sort of situation pops up again.
(Well, that and they'd still like your money, but that's a given.)

That's what I've heard. Which brings up the question what if the game didn't have voices at all that is obviously a step down but they would allow it then? If they don't allow games without dubs well if it has no voice then there doesn't need to be a dub. SCEA is stupid if you can play the game who gives a -your mother is a classy lady-. I would actually prefer the Japanese voices which a lot of games actually take out when dubbing them.

Dubs are important, like you said, as it's stupid to make your product inferior by gimping it just to make it within regulations. Games are meant to be experienced in their intended forms (w/few exceptions)

Really, I wouldn't encourage this... The fight IS over as this would set Aksys further behind schedule and could do more harm than help. Do you actually think a corporate behemoth like Sony cares what you or a small group of gamers care about? That quote you posted from SCEA's website is just lip service; they couldn't care less about an issue such as this. The only way to get their attention would be if this game sells remarkably well, then Aksys would have greater leverage with them in the future. There are more important things than this going on in the world to worry about...

If it exists, they probably have the rule to discourage shovelware. Which I'm sure it would. Unfortunately, it would also discourage the retail release of very niche games, like this, which would not really benefit from a dub. That's how rules and regulations work--there's always going to be cases where the rule doesn't fit the goal.

That is IF the game is done and tested... As far as we know Aksys hasn't even got the rights to Agarest Zero yet so I severely doubt it's done, unless they are working on it and haven't told us. I don't know, doesn't seem their style. I suspect that if Agarest War does well we'll Agarest Zero up on the Main Page.

I'd like to know if the XBOX Version will be compatible with a PAL console ? I'm very interested in your "Really Naughty Limited Edition" but unfortunally, I live in France.
I'm afraid that if I buy the game, I won't be able to play it...
If only this edition was realese on PS3, it would solve my problem ^^;
