Well, I've seen videos on the net of Melty Blood Actress Again for the PS2, and have concluded that it looks fun and sounds fun. Plus, I played its predecessor in an arcade some time ago.

Is there ANY chance you people would bring this over? I know the PS2 is well on its way out of the market, but gee... There is no PS3 version coming out nor PS2 emulation for many of the current PS3 consoles out there.

Can any light be shined upon my little request?

At least take a look at the game, please.

Act Cadenza was fun to play in the local arcade :D

I already have a Jap PS2, as well as both Act Cadenza and Actress Again, but I would love to see them released stateside (and buy them).

I wanna know the story. That's the reason I want a localization. If it's for just the gameplay, then a arcade cabinet/ Jap PS2 should suffice. Though I'd be awesome if it was turned into a PS3 port w/online play, then anyone in the english world w/a PS3 can play it.

I have a Japanese PS2 and both Act Cadenza and Actress Again, but would still buy a US copy. There are also others I know who would. I just wonder how possible the people at Aksys think this is.

Neco Arc makes me laugh every time I listen to her with those crazy dialogues... Ryoka Yuzuki rocks.

The earlier versions have been fan translated. Is there anything new storywise in these later editions?

I think so. If you haven't seen videos, I believe the arcade mode has been revamped w/some new scenes.

It's not just a revamp. Many of the stories are new. Some end with the same picture for the ending, but the story itself is either new or a crazy twist. Mecha Hisui's story mode is a good example, as is Arcueid's. Neco Arc is a bag of laughs.

Sweet. The Neco-arc one looked crazy, from what I could tell on youtube.

I'm waiting for them to announce an uber Type-Moon fighting game putting characters from all their series' in. Kinda like what Capcom does.

Well.... One of the reasons I am pestering for a release here is because Actress Again is more or less a cross over. It includes Shiki Ryougi from Kara no Kyoukai, including a techno arrange of the BGM used when she starts fighting the ghosts in the first movie. That is one of the coolest extras for a game like this.

Yes.

So, is this game really fun? I've seen videos of matches and, to be honest, it looks kind of mangy.

game is very enjoyable. I think of it as Blazblue before Blazblue came out (not a direct comparison, but they both share very fast paced gameplay & diverse cast).
