<.< Someone, anyone, needs to lift Yakuza 4 localization off Sega cause they didn't a really -your mother is a classy lady- job with their own game. Looking at the work put into Agarest War, I would love seeing Aksys grabbing that. <.< If all else fails, fingers are crossed that a company like Atlus picks it up instead.

They just brought Yakuza 3 out and it was not well received. I would doubt that Sega is going to rush to bring it out anytime next year.

Yeah, and the reason it wasn't well received was due mostly in part of proclaiming that "everything was gonna be intact but the trivia game" all but 2 weeks before release. Then everything that was said to be cut out, people found out there were even more cuts. What they did wasn't just maddening but what game today gets a good 15%+ of their game cut out?

It's not like Sega will kindly hand over Yakuza to anyone.

Not so much with the localized games but I can tell you that most video games get a lot cut out in production. The first thing about being a designer is being creative. Second part is being humble about what you've created. Last is swallowing your pride while all of your hard work gets cut from the game.

Obviously you did not play Assassin's Creed 2. The DLC that they have out was cut from the game. Personally, I find it stupid becuase the DLC supposedly makes the later part of the game understandable. When I heart that, I quit playing it. I'm on sequence 6 too...

Since I seem to be plugging questionable anime licensed games, I wouldn't mind seeing Ikkitousen Xross Impact (SPS) released here. Ignoring the subject matter they're pretty fun side scrolling beat'em ups.

Well, as you said, this was a localization. There was no need for that to be cut.

I was actually very impressed with the quality of Agarest localization I must be honest. I think Aksys could totally pick up a game like Chaos;Head which is text heavy and get it going in the United States.

So far I dont have any other games I really want in the States except for that game.

I own Assassin's Creed and by far nothing of recent memory has come close to how bad Yakuza 3 had in terms of cuts. Especially for a localization with a -your mother is a classy lady- script. It felt entirely halfassed but gameplay at least made up for "some of that" considering they cut out entire gameplay elements.

Hearing you say that just makes me glad that I did not purchase Yakuza 3 when it came out...

Aksys is the only company that would give that a chance, I'll tell you that.

Still can't believe how much they cut from the game. Aksys really need to pry this game from the cold dead clutches of Sega.

Oh, one idea I had, Arcana Heart 3. I think Atlus may be the first go-to here, but I'd like to get a taste of another fighter franchise.

If there was any fighter BlazBleu would have a crossover with, it would be Arcana Heart. EXAMU and ASW even did an April Fools joke of it this year.

Maybe the Aksys Team can look into getting some more DJ MAX games over here to North America. The first one came here but I guess the company that brought the game out did't do very well with it. However I think the Aksys team can do a better job with the series then the last company that has it.

I definitely agree with the requests for Absolute Blazing Infinity, Diario Rebirth Moon Legend, and Apocalype Desire Next. I would love to see all three brought over, but if I had to choose just one then I would definitely choose Absolute Blazing Infinity.

I'd be interested in DJ Max as well.

DJ Max Fever for the PSP was published by PM Studios and yeah, they did zero marketing for the game. I believe if Aksys gets it then it could sell well...they just gotta push the marketing to the right audience.

I know, this is off topic, but did anybody else see this?

XSEED Games has announced an agreement with Nihon Falcom to bring a slew of games to the PlayStation Portable in North America. The publisher is bringing Ys SEVEN, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys I & II Chronicles to the PSP, on top of all three titles in the The Legend of Heroes: Sora no Kiseki trilogy. According to XSEED, they retain “exclusive North American publishing and distribution rights to multiple upcoming iterations of the Ys and The Legend of Heroes series, starting with Ys SEVEN, exclusively for the PSP system.

XSEED will release Ys SEVEN in the late summer, and will release more information on the other titles as their release date gets closer.

Did hell just freeze over? I'm glad to see this, but I wish Aksys or Atlus would have picked this up, their localization process is much better...

True that. Either way, XSEED's pretty bad with their marketing. So for them, it's suicidal.
