True that. Either way, XSEED's pretty bad with their marketing. So for them, it's suicidal.

    What marketing?

Disagree. Xseed did a quality job with Lunar: SSH whereas Atlus is hit or miss with their translations. But yes, it would have been cool to see Aksys get this deal...

I would not call there marketing of Lunar: SSH a big deal. A few magazine ads for a game that has been remade twice prior is not something to brag about. Hell, I still have my Lunar: SSC in the original box with the cloth map in the plastic bag! Nobody spends any money on marketing games brought over from Japan, except Capcom.
As for the Atlus comment, I would disagree have to disagree with you to a point. If you are referring to the games on the PSone and prior to Persona 3, then yes. Everything after has been very good. Although there has been some slang that has been used that in the game that is only popular on the west coast.

Capcom is already releasing Sengoku Basara 3 in the US, and there's a pretty good chance Koei will release HnK in the US as well. Can't imagine Koei passing on it as they seem to only release Musou/Warriors games here and already released DW: Gundam.

If Agarest war was a success for Aksys, they might as well bring over Agarest Senki Zero, the Prequel to Agarest war, i see no reason on why they shouldnt

I'm that one guy from that one place at that one time when you said that one thing.

    Yes.

That would be cool, as I'm really enjoying Agarest.

Someone mentioned WarTech Senko No Ronde earlier in the thread, while this is not a game I thought they might like this:

    1/7 Peruna (Ernula) PVC :3

I haven't played the game, yet, but I'm tempted to pick her up! I heard she's pretty annoying, though...

JAST is handling that one, as we thought. Still annoys me that Japanese developers like to go 360 exclusive, you would expect them to go for PS3.

I hear because it's because since the games were originally PC based they have an easier time adapting it to 360, but who knows. So much cool stuff is being developed on the 360 in Japan, but it doesn't matter - we'll never even see a fraction of them here.

The PS2 is *still* getting these games in Japan, if you can believe it. I've been thinking of importing the system myself just to catch up some very overdue games, like Vib Ribbon. Are PAL PS2s cheap right now?

I knew about PS2s still getting games in Japan. Over there retro stuff is pretty well-liked. I remember reading in 2008 or so that the SNES just went out of production.

WOW, SNES! I don't think that Atlus has jumped ship to the "next-gen counsoles" just yet since there are a lot of MT games still in Japan. They are planning on making Persona 5 for the PS3, so I will be eager to see anything about it. But they have a huge selection of PS2 games that they can bring over this way, if they so choose to. Personally, I'm just hoping for a PSP version of Persona 2 Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin.

PS2 is effectively dead in the US at this point. And Atlus said Devil Summoner 2 would be their last PS2 game, so there goes that theory.

All the games that will be localized for PS2 have been localized.

Aksys Games should pick up the Bleach franchise and give it to a developer that will the very best work to making it as great of an action/adventure/fighter game as humanly possible. The series Naruto Ultimate Ninja by games publisher Namco Bandai Games and developers CyberConnect2 is phenomenal and generates the feelings that people get from watching the anime or reading the manga into playing the video game. Naruto Ultimate Ninja has been praise it for its phenomenal visuals and the variety of things that can be done between missions and Aksys Games can support or find developers that can replicate or exceed these praises into a Bleach series. Bleach already has an incredible background and the only console version were one released on GameCube and two released on Wii, however, I want to see a great one released on the Xbox360 and PlayStation 3. I am passionate that Aksys Games can take Bleach where Namco Bandai Games and CyberConnect2 have taken Naruto.

I did not realize the role the Aksys Games provides as only being translating and localizing Japanese video games for English-speaking markets. Nevertheless, I hope they still do take up the Bleach franchise. :-)

Bleach is the property of Sega
    Soooo it won't be happening

And Aksysgames is a publisher, they don't make games.

Lastly, I prefer Aksysgames, publish rare games like Agarest, Blazblue and plenty of Cave games than a mediocre super popular anime game.

    My opinion...

    AKSYS FTW !!!

Aksys needs to pick up the Hokuto No Ken fighting game that was released on PS2 from ARC System Works and Sega. Even if they can go ahead and make an upscaled version for the PS3 I'd be happy as hell. I play this on my PS2 and it really needs to see the light of day on these shores, what with all the rage for Hokuto Musou.
