DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu and Ketsui for 360 please!!
I don't think sales for the region free games (esp and mushihime) would be as great since global fans could buy these already.

I mean, sure the lower price points would be nice, but we NEED Fukkatsu and Ketsui. I am assuming CAVE will release these as J-only.

    THANKS AKSYS!!

I would love if they would test the dating sim waters and bring over something like Clannad. It would be nice if they could get permission to bring over and publish IdolM@ster or Dream Club too. Maybe the Haruhi or Lucky Star games as well.

But all that is just the Otaku in me talking and making wishes that will probably never happen. lol

Don't put the cart before the horse. Though, it seems Aksys is testing the waters right now with dim-type games.

Leave it to the ESRB to break through press releases

Oh, and I think this is the game they might be coming out with:

Well, that looks like a good game. Why do all the shooters have to be 360-only though?

I just read on 2ch that people are complaining about it...

Some of them argue that the graphics look more like a PSP game...

But then again, graphics don't make a game. Even then, many people judge by visual means.

Allow me to complain too about good shooters being 360 only.

Oh no, no Srike Witches. Do you want people to bash Aksys for releasing a 360 game that looks like PS1 graphics? Sure "graphics don't make a game" but everyone judge by their first impression.

Don't misunderstand. I don't even like what I have seen of the Strike Witches game. I think it MIGHT be a good game, but I don't know at this stage. I would prefer Axys to pick a confirmed good game and bring it over. Even better if it is a multiplatform title, so different console users can get a fun experience (like the case with BlazBlue).

I would also like to see a Melty Blood release this side of the (very, very deep) pond.

Eh, the Strike Witches game doesn't look that terrible. It doesn't really look very inspired either, but I don't really see why the graphics alone should be so big of a deal as to prevent Aksys from considering localizing it to a niche audience with a better price tag. If it has no technical issues (glitches, slowdows), it's reasonably fun to play, and there aren't any licensing issues with Funimation, I fail to see why should be written off from all possibility of localization. Seriously, console 2D side-scrollers never really looked "next-gen" anyways--I wasn't exactly impressed with Deathsmiles' graphics either.

My main source of complaint at this moment is the price they're asking for--Unless they have some really awesome extras, I wouldn't even pay 80 dollars for any STG, regardless of graphics.

Aksys could work with Funimation and capitalize on the recent release of the Strike Witches anime here. "War on Pants", anyone?

The reason people are complaining is the fact that the company COULD do better. Its not running off arcade hardware to begin with so graphical problems should not be an issue. Not only that its a brand new game so they should take the time to polish it instead of just throwing it right out the door. People are pissed about stuff like that, but I honestly don't care.

Yeah, but the latest one is on PS2. So, too late until the next one.

Don't care, we need Melty Blood AA released in time for EVO!
(So some of us can practice w/o having to import copies)

What's the problem? NIS just brought Sakura Wars V, and with two discs sporting a different voice language each. That game is also VERY text intensive, while Melty Blood is not even close to it (although it is for fighting game standards, yet nowhere close to BlazBlue).

Yes, the PS2 is well on its way out, but a fighter is a fighter.

I think that if marketed well, Melty Blood could very well be a success, as far as niche games go.

Going into the voices, I think that if Aksys were to go a "more economic way", a release with only the Japanese audio woulld suffice. English voices (as long as they are well cast) would be a good plus, but not vital for me.

Well, it's too late. Sakura Wars had been in the localization process since at least early last year. If Aksys just now started working on it, it would take a year, minimum, to finish and release, and that's if they were fast.

By then the PS2 will be dead meat. No more localizations will ever be announced for the PS2 after this. Sakura Wars was the last, all we'll see from now on is a few sports games and Aragorn's Quest.

I think some people don't realize it yet, but the PS2 is currently in that hospital room, just waiting to die.

I still don't agree. The quantity of text is definitely not the same. Not even on the same scale.
